Chapter 4

Max's POV,
                       I was stattled by the appearance of her when the door was finally opened. The girl i never wanted to cross part with was standing right in front of me, i suddenly lost my smile instantly. But then she smiled and my whole world shook, her smile brought out something i haven't noticed all along because of the grudge i had on her.This was her beauty.

She walked forward and greeted taking the cake from my hand. I stared at her blue eyes which seemed endless,her ebony long her laid smoothly at one side of her face leaving the other bare showing her milky face. She turned around to get the cake inside and i couldn't stop staring at her perfectly shaped body in the red short elegant tight dress.She is so beautiful, i wonder why i didn't see it before.

We settled around the dinning table and fortunately she had to sit next to me. Our mums have become more chatting now "So this is my son Max's, He attends the same school as your daughter" my mum introduced " oh is that so, well she never did mention it to me"her mum gave her the well done looking and she rolled my eyes."This is my Daughter she's a bit of a handful because she doesn't want her name to be mentioned" she added
And i was confused.

Our mums chatted as well both eat in silence. I asked her to politely pass me the desert after but she ignored me." Baby be nice!" Mrs Dodoo said "its OK Mam I've got it i said " taking it by myself. "I'm sorry, she has been like this since her father abandoned her" "Mum!!! Seriously!" She shouted."oh really my son has also been bitter to people since his father also abandoned us for his mistress" Mum said "Mum ,No !!! Why do you have to bring that up!" I stood up and rushed out angirly.

Amari's pov,
                         I sat silently on my bed thinking about today. I feel sorry for Max he's been through alot like me, no wonder he is such an asshole.I've been hard on him and i feel sorry now buh its not like i want to tell him or anything.My phone suddenly sounded to a text message ,No one has ever messaged before so who could it be. I opened it and took my surprise it was Max, :I'm sorry for everything,i was a jerk let call out a truce,I don't want to fight you anymore: I read to myself and i must admit it was kind of childish of us.

The next two days i went to school so energized and happy cause mom quit her job just for us to stay here. At class, Max still looked upset and was quiet throughout. Lily a classmate complimented me for my tough behavior lately and the next minute we were chatting our way through Reccess, at least i made a new friend today.

After school i decided to walk home by myself since i didn't want to pick a cab. I put on my hoodie and plugged my earphones on as i walked. The song i was listening to 'Money' by JB made me lose sense of where i was going, the beat threw me in an awesome trance as i danced on the road.Before i knew i had tripped on my toes and twisted my leg.

The pain caused me to scream and hold onto it.No one was around to help me so i tried to get up and i fell again twisting it the more ,this time i laid face down on the street and weeped."Hey,can i help?" A familiar voice said, i looked up to see who it was and just as i had thought it was no one other than Max.

"No! I don't need your help ,i can do it on my own" I insisted "ok, let see for that goes for you, you can call if you need help" he said walking away. I couldn't let him walk away like that "Wait,c'mon please help me" i called shamely. He turned around and walked to me"You see, you got to let go of that pride of yours or you may be ignored"he said kneeling down tieing the black hoodie he wore around my leg.

"How will you move me then" i said folding my arms "well i have a bike around the corner so if i could just.......and before i knew he had carried me in a bridal style."Hey put me down you jerk, did you ask me before " i started to hit him on the shoulder." Princess,chill is not like I'm going to kiss you or something" he laughed as he walked"Jerk" I thought with a smirk.
