Gabriel ran over and knelt beside his son who was finally stirring. "Adrien, son, are you okay?"

Adrien looked straight up at Marinette. "I knew you could do it, M'Lady." Adrien slowly got to his feet, leaning on Marinette for support.

Gabriel threw his arms around his son. "I'm so sorry, Adrien."

Adrien reluctantly hugged him back. "Nathalie?" He noticed her staring from across the room. He ran over and hugged her as well. "Thank you."

Relief had washed over Marinette as she realized Adrien was going to be okay. She felt so sad knowing that his mom wouldn't be coming back. She glanced down at the miraculous in her hand and got an idea, she knew she would have to hurry though if it had any chance of working.

She quickly pinned the butterfly brooch to her shirt and released Nooroo. "Nooroo, light wings rise." She called on the transformation. Marinette made a beautiful butterfly superheroine. Her hair was twisted into a fancy up-do and a lavender mask covered her eyes. The light purple suit was a hybrid dress that lay over top of the leggings. It was higher in the front to allow her to move unhindered, but flowed out behind her. She had white gloves that went up her arms over top of the lavender sleeves and to top off the transformation, she had a shimmering pair of wings behind her. She was now Mariposa.

She closed her eyes and felt out the room searching for a faint emotion she hoped was still lingering. Latching on to the feeling, she charged a white butterfly with power and sent it off.

The other three were entranced by the bright butterfly as it flew toward the place where Emilie lay and phased into the chamber.

Everyone in the room held their breath, not sure what was going to happen. A ghost-like, or maybe angelic was a better description, figure appeared above the comatose woman. "Hello." The figure spoke, her voice sounding like a beautiful song.

"Mother?" Adrien gasped.

"Emilie." Gabriel sighed.

"My handsome men," She smiled. "It is so good to see you again."

Gabriel reached out to take her hand, but his fingers moved through hers as if he was grasping at air. "I've missed you so much."

"I see you've been busy." She noted her surroundings.

Gabriel tipped his head to the floor, embarrassed.

"Adrien, my sweet boy, come closer so I can see you." Adrien laced his fingers through Mariposa's before walking closer to the figure.

"You look so grown up." Emilie commented, though it hadn't been that long since she last saw him, he had definitely changed. "And who is this beautiful girl?"

"This is my..." Adrien hesitated for a second. They weren't officially anything yet, but "friend" wasn't enough and "love of my life" might have been too much, even if it was true. "Girlfriend. This is my girlfriend, Marinette."

"It's nice to meet you, Marinette. I sense that I have much to thank you for in regards to my family." Emilie smiled sweetly.

"It's so nice to meet you too, Mrs. Agreste." Mariposa nodded once.

"Nathalie, my old friend." Emilie now spoke to the former assistant. "I'm glad to see you are still taking care of my loves."

Nathalie's eyes widened, feeling guilty on a couple of accounts. "Of course, Emilie."

"It seems like I will be leaving them in capable hands." Emilie winked.

"You're leaving?" Adrien was crestfallen.

"Unfortunately, I don't think this magic will be able to hold up much longer." Emilie confirmed with a sad look to Mariposa.

Mariposa nodded. "I can feel the temporary consciousness from the partial wish fading." Plus, she could only hold her transformation for a few minutes after using the power.

"I just want you all to know that I love you and I want you to be happy." Emilie placed a hand over each of her boys' hearts. "I'll always be with you."

Gabriel and Adrien hugged the air where Emilie's spirit was, pretending that the whole family was solidly there, until she faded away.

Mariposa reverted back into Marinette shortly after. Adrien ran over and took her in his arms. "Thank you, Marinette, for saving me and giving me a chance to see my mom again. You really are amazing."

Marinette squeezed him tightly. "I'm sorry I couldn't do more."

"You've done much more than we could have asked of you, Marinette." Gabriel placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Thank you." He pulled something from his pocket and handed it to her. "I believe these belong to you." It was the ladybug earrings and the peacock miraculous. "And this," he handed the black cat ring to his son. "Belongs to you."

"Thank you, Mr. Agreste, for doing the right thing." Marinette put the earrings back on and Tikki appeared.
