Werewolf king and his little demon

Chapter one

Iris POV

I grew up knowing the world was never mine, knowing that there are other beings in this world besides humans, those who are stronger than me. On April 23, 1886, thats when humans lost power of the world and it was divided into multiple sectors werewolves, vampires, demons, witches, and Fae. The year now was 1894, I like to think I got pretty lucky with ending up in the Werewolf sector, we arent treated like slaves or anything, we can just go about our day. Though food is a bit of a shortage, and we have to make sure not to piss of the soldiers. In the center of my town is the Alpha kings castle. He kind, sweet, and hot. Though lately hes been gone, not sure why and the guards have recently started being really weird around me. I cant say Im a star citizen, but I do get into quiet a lot of trouble, Im always on house arrest. The worst punishment you could get from the wolves is banishment from your town but stealing food l for the orphans around the town and pulling pranks on the soldiers... its fun, all I get is house arrest and a slap on the wrist as well as a very stern talking to.

But there is one Solider his name is James thats always around when Im pulling my pranks, I dont know how he always knows where Im going to be and what Im going to do but he does. Its kind of annoying. He usually just stays quiet watching me as I annoy the others, or hell talk to me which is nice. Its been quite lonely since my mom passed. I dont know who my father is all mom would tell me was he was strong and powerful. Im an only child so I live alone in my little house and talking to someone like James is always welcoming, especially when the adults around my house call me a curse. Mom did her best to keep me safe and not let anyone say anything bad about me, but I always heard, I dont know why they called me that, but they did, and it hurt.

Im currently on house arrest for fighting with a one of the soldiers. We argued so loudly that James came picked me up and put me in my house telling me to stay put for the next two days. Well, Im not a very good listener, here I am crawling out of my bedroom window heading to Jakes house, with my black bag hanging over my shoulder. It contained my homemade grappling hook and a pair of black gloves. The reason I was arguing with the solider was because of Jake. We made a bet, he said that he would give me the rest of his food if I snuck into the castle and took the kings Favorite necklace, it was a gold chain with a blue sapphire pendant. It was very beautiful. He always wore. I get to Jakes house slipping into his window and successfully scaring the shit out of him.

"Jesus Iris you scared me!"

"Hehe yes I did, now tell me where the entry point is."

"You'll be going in through the kitchen, do you have your grappling hook?"

"Of course, I do."

"Ok heres a map of the castle, remember your looking for his treasure room, once you grab the necklace bring it back to me, understood."

"Yes, I understand."

We both nod before I leave through his window once again and start my way towards the castle. There was a curfew for all humans by 10pm everyone should be in their homes. Recently there have been more soldiers patrolling at night, theres a rumor going around that demons have been spotted on the boarders. Dont know why demons would come here but its scary to think about. I get to the castle without anyone seeing me, but I have this strange feeling that someone is watching me. Looking around I take the grappling hook out of my bag and swing it a few times seeing an open window which Im assuming is the kitchen. The hook stays firm on the sill as I start to climb up the rope, luckily for me I have upper body strength.

I climb through the window doing my best to not make a sound, but I end up falling in with a loud thud, groaning softly as I lay there for a few seconds before standing up. I look around the dimly lit kitchen, it was bigger than 3 houses combined. I was shocked at how big it was.
