Keira's POV:

It has been a few days since I picked the foreign stranger up and saved him, Nick is a interesting person. At least that was the nice word, for stubborn, selfish and a know it all.
He pretty much hates sleeping in my brothers 'unconformable' bed, he hates how we have to collect water for pretty much everything from a distant river and he hates what I feed him.

It was obvious he comes from a rich family but I hadn't and bread and soup was all I could afford to make, for such a tall man he sure is a picky eater. Considering half of the soups we make around here involve vegetables he won't eat much without complaining, he acted like a fat boy asking if we could have more meals with meat and I'd reply in, 'If you want more meat then get it yourself.' Which he did

Every. Single. Time. Before I made breakfast, lunch or dinner he'd bring back a animal of some short, it made me suspicious as to what this man was, who this man was. Only thing was he'd never tell me where he came from or what his homeland was like, he'd always reply in 'You won't like what you hear.' To say it was getting annoying was a understatement

It was getting infuriating. I was about to go mad, I slammed my butcher knife onto the bird taking its head off clean. Trying to ignore the man who stared at me in fact, I could no longer ignore his gaze and decided to question what he had wanted. "The women here butcher their own food, the men don't?" He questioned, making me scuff. "What do you take me for?" I question pointing the knife at him angrily he seemed unfazed and simply chuckled to himself.

"I didn't mean any harm, it's normal for the men to do the butchering where I come from." He answered making me roll my eyes in dis belief, at this point I was afraid they'd stick to the back of my head. "So what do the women do in your town? From what you've said so far it seems as if they are useless." I question staring at him, he chuckled, "The women where I come from don't prefer getting there hands dirty, they wear pretty dresses and have other people wait on them, they simply sit around all day talking with other women." He says smiling

Thinking back to when he had been home with his mother and her friends, he couldn't help but chuckle once again. He found himself thinking how pretty Keira would look in a more expensive dress, the one she wore had been poor quality.

"Well That doesn't seem very humane, how can one sit around doing nothing, telling others to do things for them that aren't even much work. My mother always told me and my brother growing up that if we lived a lazy life we'd grow old and regret it, regret that we hadn't lived when we could." I say, slicing the bird and setting it's meat into the boiling water, i then turn around

To the man looking at me with what seemed like the most fascination, I simply rolled my eyes. "What happened to your brother?" He suddenly questioned causing me to pause for a moment
