dinggggg!!! the bell rings, pappers go flying and screaming fills the classrooms and halls and the entire school is ready for summer vacation. i walk outta class with a huge smile on my face and head to my locker, paisley meets me there.
"ahhhh" she yells in my ear. "beach tans here we come"
"i know" i drag it out so it sound more dramatic "i cant wait!"
as we walk outta the school we bump into the rest of our friends. lily, gabe, andrew, west, and jayden. we all walk out to my car and pile into it. i drop them all off and finally head home. i drop my bag in my room and take off my shoes.
my style... isnt really a syle unless you consider basic white girl a style... what im trying to say is they were white high top converse.
told ya.
i get a text from paisley once i get done eating :

hey :)
lake tonight? the bands are playing.
plus.... theres an open mic,
im pretty sure gabe and drew
will get up there.
just give them your wink,
it always works
yeah, that sounds good.
ohh whatever, we all know gabe
only has eyes for you.
yeah.... ok.

7:30.
7:38 p.m
i start walking up towrds the gazebo from the parking lot across the street. lily almost breaks a sound barrier when she sees me. i smile and hug her back. she walks me over to the blanket that wes, jayden, and paisley were sitting on.
"weres drew and gabe?" i ask them as they're the only ones not here.
wes froms a smirk on his face and points to the gazebo. my eyes follow is finger and sure enough there gabe and drew.
my mouth falls open a bit with the corners smirking up.
"theres no way you actully got them to do this" i say to the rest of the group on the blanket.
"it didnt take much" pasiley says as she laghs a bit.
"ok, ok, this one goes out to all those hot moms out there. thank you for your service" gave says into the mic.
drews fingers grab the bridge of his nose as his smile forms.
the beat to made in the u.s.a by miley cyrus comes on. somewhere deep inside of me i knew they were gonna play this song.
lily and paisley get up and start dance to gabes really off key singing.
"cmon cid, rance with me." wes says as he stands up and hold his hand out for me.
i grab it and start laugh as he swings me around. jayden steals lily form paisley. they are the mom and dad of the group. its adorable. drew takes over for gabe after the first chorus and the crowd goes wild. maybe becuase drew can actually sing unlike gabe but it was fantastic.
the song stops and we are screaming and having a good time. gabe and drew take a bow at the end of the gazebo.
"for all you hot moms out there im single. 553-6682." gabe says into the mic before drew pulls him off the stage.
"ok that is officially the best concert ive been to" lily said to the boys here were a little to proud of them selves.
"why thank you m'lady" gabe says and kisses the back of her hand.
"ok, what the hell have you been drinking tonight?" i ask
"just a little bit of this" he hands me a water bottle from the cooler and i take a drink.
my face scrunches up as i didnt think it would be that strong. "yeah ok. so whos driving tonight cause its not me" i say as i take another drink.
"lils is." i look at jayden whos taking another drink from his water bottle as well.
11:34 p.m
we stayed at the park for a while now and to say this is the best way i have started off a summer would be an understatement.
we start walking to the car all walking side ways and bumping into each other. gabes dumbass sets off a car alarm. drew and west laugh as me and paisley are trying to hold each other up. lilys struggling over there trying to keep jayden up. hes like 5'11 and a tight end may i add. shes like 5'6 and a d.s so she, well all her weigh is 8n her ass and thighs and whn i tell you im jelous cause im also a d.s and thats not the case here. im just skinny. period.
everyone gets in the car, i'm the last one in after helping paisley.
"i forgot my phone" i say a little embarrassed.
"its ok i can wait" lily says " you need help getting there?" she chuckles a bit
considering i'm only tipsy i tell her im fine and get outta the car. i start walking back to our spot as i see some guy pick up my phone looking for anyone around to see who it might belong to.
i get closer to him. "hey, thats mine, sorry"
"no, no your ok." he looks at me and his face freezes.
as i get a better look at his face. my mouth drops open a little. he looks to be around 5'9 or 5'10 so hes about 4 or 5 inches taller them me. hes eyes a pretty amber color which pairs beautiful with his darker skin tone.
"i'm austin" he says stably handing me back my phone.
"cindilyn" i answer back.
"well hopefully you lose your phone again sometime cindilyn." he says with a smirk on his face as the sentence comes out as a laugh "is was nice meeting you" he sticks the his hands in his front pockets and starts to walk off.
"ill try to im promise" i say as i bite my lip with a smile.
that was the first promise i made to him that summer.
