The Ace Of Spades Part One

As a vampire being an assassin comes easy. The people that hire him on the black market assume he uses a gun and then gets rid of the body. That's not what Cameron does, he drinks the life out of his victims and he enjoys every moment of it. He doesn't question who is hiring him or for what reason, he gets his target, he kills them, collects the money he doesn't need and moves on to the next.

The victims often plead for their lives, most of the time when they see him they know what he's there for. They've been expecting someone like him and they offer money sometimes double or triple the amount. But Cameron doesn't do it for the money, he feeds off of their fear. The hormone that's secreted when someone fears for their lives makes their blood taste amazing. That's why Cameron does it.

No one stands a chance against him, not even other vampires stand a chance. He's the oldest vampire still existing, the older vampires are the stronger they are. Cameron Dallas isn't his original name, his name is in a language that fell out of existence a very long time ago. Every century he picks a new name and in 2000 he decided to become Cameron Alexander Dallas, it's his favorite name yet.

He finds the myths related to vampires very funny, holy water just makes him wet, a crucifix makes him laugh, and garlic makes him sneeze. He can eat food like any other person but he doesn't need it to survive, the only thing he actually needs to survive is blood. His age allows him to go a very long time in between feedings, Cameron, at one point, decided to see how long he could actually go without drinking blood before he started to feel weak, he went 15 years and he drank blood, not because he felt weak but because the person pissed him off and he wanted to kill him in the most terrifying way possible. After that he never really bothered to try again, one day if he gets bored again he might do it.

He's sitting at a table of an outdoor cafe with sunglasses on. His cellphone is vibrates and he looks at it.

Cameron doesn't respond, he never does. Jack Gilinsky is probably Cameron's closest friend, but he rarely ever talks to him most of the communication is from Jack to Cameron. Cameron doesn't get attached to anyone even his closest "friend" gets barely any consideration from Cameron. Everyone is expendable. Being alive for so long has jaded Cameron, he doesn't remember what it's like to be human or have any affection for anyone. He sates his thirst whether it's for blood or for sex and that's it. He doesn't do feelings and everyone is discarded without remorse once Cameron is done with them.

He stands and leaves the small cafe, he feels the familiar burn he gets right before a kill, it's the only thing he ever feels anymore.

When he arrives to North Carolina, it doesn't take him long to locate his victim. Part of his game is he watches them for a few hours before he sinks his fangs into their veins and draws their life out of them. He wants to see what they're doing in the last few hours before their untimely demise. The majority of his victims are high profile gangsters, they're aware of the fact there's a hit out for them and they're usually surrounded by their thugs who guard them. Some of them even go as far as having former Navy Seals as their bodyguards, but no matter how many people they have guarding them, there's only one outcome and it's death.

Young victims are rare, Cameron doesn't kill children but 18 and older are fair game. 18 years old is as young as it can get for Cameron, the younger they are the more afraid they are of death. A hardened criminal knows the risks that come with their line of work, although they always end up feeling fear, especially when Cameron shows them his fangs, the younger victims feel fear right away. Cameron can smell it, it has a pungent aroma that he loves.
