Your job as an accountant was something you could never get tired of; keeping things organized and taking note of transactions and accounts was always something you enjoyed.

But if there was one thing you hated, it was your co-workers.

Among the employees in the office, you were arguably one of the best out there. And because you were so good at the job, you often found yourself sitting in front of stacks upon stacks of papers hundreds of emails in your inbox, and onboarding sessions for new hires that you held twice a week.

But they weren't your own piles of work— they were all from your lazy officemates who couldn't bother do it themselves; the onboarding sessions were the only things that didn't come from them.

Most of the time, you could easily deal with the extra workload. But whenever deadlines were nearing, that's when people really showed no hesitation nor shame with making you do their work. Your struggle was evident during moments like these.

What made it even worse was that your manager didn't care one bit about your situation, and your CEO is incredibly hard to contact, so there really wasn't anything you could do about it.

It was Friday 6:00 pm, and despite the extra work, you managed to finish on your usual time. A giddy smile formed on your face as you shut down your computer and reached for your bag on the floor to pack your belongings.

But before you could place your bag on the desk, a huge stack of papers landed on your table creating a loud thud.

"Oh, I'm sorry... Looks like I dropped something here, didn't I?" Doma chuckled, covering his mouth with his hand. He was one of your coworkers who would often dump their work onto you.

"Sorry about that, I've got a date with some chick later tonight, think you could take this over for me? Thaaanks!" He continued as he tousled your hair and dashed away toward the elevator.

"Wait-" The elevator doors were already closed. Defeated, you leaned back on your chair and let out an exasperated sigh. "That little..."

You were left with even more piles of work to be done;

And there was nothing you could do about it.

About two hours had passed, and you finally finished the extra work Doma gave you.

"Finally, that took forever!" You stretched your sore arms out in the air, and began packing your things in your cat bag it and cleaning your desk.

As you stood up from your workspace, you saw that the elevator was about to close.

There was absolutely no way you were going to miss the elevator after having to work overtime, and also because you were on the 34th floor, so it would take at least 10 minutes before it'd make its way back up there.

"Wait, hold the door please!" Your legs sprinted as fast as they could and you prayed that you'd make it in time.

Unfortunately, nobody was considerate enough to hold the doors open. The elevator closed right in front of you and began making its way down.
