My long nails accidentaly scraped the side of the window pane, as I quietly opened it. The soft rays of early morning swpet across the floor in the headmaster's office and I pulled my body through the open window and onto a nearby ledge. 'Hopefully everyone is in bed by now', I thought, as I stepped over the ledge and prepared to jump down the two stories of the Academy's main building. One step, two steps closer and I held my breathe as I finally jumped. The wind rushed past and my dark brown hair whipped my oval shaped face. I sighed, almost free. As I passed the first storey windows, a lone teachers suprised face and yell of horror snapped me back into reality and I gave a cry of frustration. Wasn't everyone supossed to be asleep at this hour?

I urged my fall to go quicker and I hit the ground softly and gracefully. I patted down my pockets, making sure I had money and pulled out my brand new phone, which probably had a tracking device in it. Giving it a longing smile, I crushed it in my palm and scattered the pieces on the ground, while tying my long hair in a ponytail. In the next instant, sirens were heard, as the teacher alerted the Gaurdians, as well as my parents; who were bound to be furious. I grinned and raced to the gate before anyone got there to stop me. I was almost out. A hand grabbed my upper arm tightly and spun me around. A head of blonde hair and questionagly blue eyes searched my face for answers. My cousin, the Princess of the Academy.

"Beacon Hills", I whispered, before she could ask about my future whereabouts. She smiled and nodded, letting go of me and grasping my hand and placing something hard inside it. I went to open my clenched hand but she shook her head and motioned quickly for me to run. I glanced over my shoulder and shuddered when I noticed the Gaurdians running towards me.

"Vale, mea dulcis sobrina", I breathed and smiled at her one last time, before darting off into the awaiting woods. Hopefully, the Gaurdians would forget about their most precious royal and daugter of the founder, but I doubted that. I would never be free to live a normal life without expectations.
