BLOODY AND BEATEN, Amaya awoke, she was strapped to a chair. Her hand throbbed, but she couldn't quite see what was wrong with it. She didn't even know what was going on. Wait, where was Vi-

"So, you've finally decided to wake up," A voice from behind her spoke, it was rough, and Amaya tried her hardest to crane her neck to see who it was. But, alas, she could not, "it's been two days."

"Who- Who are you?! What do you want?"

"Surely you remember me? The name's Sevika."

"You- you were with- with Silco!" Amaya gulps, so afraid she could barely breathe.

"That's the one."

"How- where even am I?!" she cried, frantically pulling at her restraints. Sevika barked out a laugh, before stepping out of the shadows, to reveal herself in all her glory.

"You've been knocked out for a few days, princess... I was starting to believe you were dead."

"I-"

"Anyway, Silco and I... have come to the executive decision, that you will be our test subject.." she said, lowly.

"Test subject? For- for what?"

"Shimmer."

"Shimmer?"

"Remember that monster, the one with purple veins."

Amaya gulped, she nodded.

"That's exactly what shimmer does to you."

"Um, ma'am, I'd prefer if you didn't use her for your testing-" A young boys voice interrupted, just as he said that, Sevika fell to the floor with a thud, she was knocked out cold. Amaya looked up, to see a boy with a sheepish expression on his face.

"Ekko?!"

"Hey Maya! I came to save you! Wasn't that so cool! Wait- is your finger... missing?"

"It's what?!"
