The Life of Aaron Prescott
Journal Entry Forty-One; February 13th

School has been kicking my ass lately between tests and jotting down notes. I haven't had the motivation to do anything anymore. Baseball is the only thing that hasn't been draining me for the past couple weeks.

As well as Ryan and his family, it's been nice just escaping there as well. Since Ryan couldn't give two fucks about his marks, we normally just spend the whole time playing video games or ranting about our equal dislike of history.

I feel like I need to scream, cry and laugh all at once. I just don't know which one will happen first.

Ryan finishes fixing my tie, stepping back before he turns himself towards the mirror and straightens his own tie.

Tonight was prom, the one high school thing I never saw myself doing. Prom seemed so bland to me before I had met Lindsey and practically my whole views on people changed. Now I was almost too excited.

Mason and Rose would obviously be going together, Jordan and Graham, me and Lindsey but I wasn't sure if Ryan had a date. He never mentioned one to me so I assume he didn't but I knew that wouldn't stop Ryan from having fun or annoying the living hell out of us.

Lindsey's red corsage sits in my suit pocket, gnawing at my nerves. Lindsey never showed me her dress; she had just told me the color so that my tie and corsage could match. I'm sure it would be one of her mothers dresses and I'm sure she would look lovely in it.

Mason, Jordan and Graham were all downstairs eating some leftovers from Emilia's best tasting lasagna that I will be yelling at them for eating after prom. I could live off of that lasagna with no complaints.

Ryan let out a breath, backing away from the mirror to look himself up and down. "How do I look, Prescott?"

Ryan didn't look half bad in a navy suit and since he has never been one to dress up so seeing him like this was unusual. "Amazing, Perez."

Ryan grins, sending me a quick wink. "Cleaned up well yourself." Ryan gets cut off by Mason's voice yelling that the limo is out front and to hurry the hell up.

Laughing, me and Ryan quickly shove on our shoes before we head downstairs to meet the others by the stairs. Mason is standing there glum with his arms across his chest, Jordan and Graham looking the opposite of Mason and smiling towards us.

"Took you long enough," Mason groans, standing up straight before he begins to walk towards the door. "Everyone finally ready?"

Jordan mocks a salute, following behind Mason with Graham. "Aye, aye captain."

Mason turns around to yell at Jordan but Jordan is already shoving him out the door with Graham amusedly following behind them. Myself and Ryan share a look saying, 'how the hell did we get stuck with these two?' And honestly neither of us would have an answer.

I step out of Ryan's limo and look up at Lindsey's house as I get reminded of the first time I came here, wet, bloody and opinionated.

Jordan and Mason are still bickering about... I don't even know at this point since I was mostly just focusing on Ryan's jokes, UCLA and the music for the whole car ride.

My brain hasn't been able to focus for a while and I'm sure it's because I haven't been at Walters since our last altercation and when Lindsey found me. The change of environment must be making me feel this way since I'm not used to such a 'normal' routine.
