A A R O N

I pick up another one of mine and Lindsey's bags, locking the car behind me. Jordan's summer house is the exact same as when we were ten and Kim and Kyle let us finally come up here after years of begging.

Since Kim and Kyle are very much neat freaks, they were reluctant to let four boys run around the house but surprisingly we never got anything dirty. Well except for when Ryan accidentally kicked over a plant and spilled soil on too many of Kim's things. You can see why we've never been allowed here again. Now with everything done and summer break finally starting Kim and Kyle have let Jordan take us all here one last time.

Lindsey smiles when I enter the house, dropping her bags onto the floor. She's dressed in a white bikini top and jean shorts as she grabs two waters from Jordan's fridge. "Thanks, I was just about to get those."

I scoff. "Sure you were." Lindsey gives me 'the look' and or a scary pout and side eye. "No problem, querida. Was an honor to take your bags in."

Lindsey's face quickly turns into a smile as she walks over to me, placing a kiss to my cheek. "Better. I'm taking these out to me and Rose, everyone is by the pool so get dressed." Then she disappears out the back door.

With a sigh, I take Lindsey's bag up to our room and throw it next to her other three bags. We were only here for three nights and she treated it like a month-long cruise.

I move towards my one bag that sits in the corner of our room and grab my trunks out from the bottom of my bag.

It would be my first time swimming without a shirt on and everyone -except Lindsey and Ryan- seeing my scars for the first time, but I honestly couldn't care because I knew no one would judge me or ask personal questions simply because that's the type of friend group we are.

I walk back downstairs until I've hit the patio door and slide it open. Jordan's backyard was wide open and gorgeous with a neat landscape and one of the biggest pools I've ever seen, scratch that, definitely the biggest pool I've ever seen.

The pool alone took up a good proportion of the back yard with water slides and the wall/waterfall. There was the seating area where normally Kim would sit with the morning newspaper and Kyle would be inside, cooking breakfast.

The first thing I see is Jordan running towards the pool -where Graham is peacefully swimming- before doing a huge canon ball in. Rose is bugging Mason to go into the water, Lindsey is sitting on a pool chair, reading her new book and Ryan is nowhere to be found.

I waltz over towards Lindsey, tapping her on the forehead. "Hello."

Lindsey looks up, dazed, from her book I'm assuming. "Hello, have a seat, watch Jordan piss off Graham and eat some cantaloupe."

I hum, stealing the empty seat next to Lindsey as I stuff a piece of cantaloupe into my mouth. "Where's Ryan?"

"No idea," Lindsey responds, looking back at her book. "He wasn't here when I came out-"

As if on a cue, Ryan's yells from Jordan's top porch sound out through the backyard. He jumps off the balcony, heading straight for the water.

Graham sighs, "motherfuck-"

He's cut off by Ryan exploding into the water, splashing everyone.

Jordan hands me a cooler before taking his seat close to the open fire, cuddling close to Graham. Lindsey presses her face against my shoulder, letting out small sighs as we all sit in silence. Lindsey's changed from her bikini into more comfortable clothes, an old hoodie and sweatpants. Her hair lays perfectly over her shoulders and I want to know how after sleeping for two hours it can still look so nice.
