[Mikasa]

I walk through the boring school halls once again, rolling my eyes as I watch the typical morning drama of high-school flood through the school's hallway system. My brother walks beside me as always, also rolling his eyes as his hands stay firmly in his pockets. I smirk a bit at our similarities. Even though we're completely opposite sometimes, there are also times when we're almost exactly the same.

People shout and yell, boys throw footballs around the halls, bumping into other students in order to catch it. I roll my eyes, scuffling my feet lazily across the ground as I make my way through the halls, my eyes half-lidded in a form of unimpressed emotions.

I make it to my locker, pulling all of my books out and putting back only the ones I don't need for today. I silently read each one out as I go through the list.

Art, Science, English, German...

I put those four books in my bag, along with my P.E gear, which I'll need fifth period. I slam my locker shut, not needing to lock it as I turn around and head back out to the front of the school, pushing my hair behind my ear as I do. As soon as I get outside, I immediately see the rest of the group leaning against the walls as always. I watch as Petra waves, and Reiner smiles. I notice that Levi's already beat me to it. I smirk more than smile, and just put my hand up in a gesture that easily tells them I've noticed their greetings. I get up to the group with ease, not really having to push past anyone since everyone just makes way for me, and I slip myself in to fit in between Ymir and Bertoldt.

"Hey guys. What happened after the party?"

I ask, indifferent about the actual question, but too bored not to pay attention. But then again, I could always find some poor freshman to beat up...

"Well, after wards, Bertoldt and I crashed at my place, and I think we passed out the rest of the weekend."

Reiner says, and I shake my head in complete and utter disbelief. I almost faceplant.

"They dropped me off at home first, and mom was drinking in the kitchen. I don't know where the hell dad got to, though."

Petra says, smiling as Levi simply pulls his arm around her even tighter. She slightly blushes.

"Did you enjoy the party?"

Bertoldt asks timidly, looking directly at me. At this, everyone becomes silent ,awaiting my answer. I sigh. Sometimes it sucks being the ring leader. I prepare to stage my facade as I look at everyone in turn before speaking.

"Yeah, it was alright. I'm just glad nobody puked on me like last time."

I joke, and everyone starts laughing. Sometimes I'm thankful for the mask nobody seems to be able to see through.

[Eren]

I walk into school, pulling my hair over my face once more. I was running late this morning.

I get there, and almost everyone is already crowded around something. I walk over to it, expecting exactly what I'm about to see. I find Armin on the outskirts of the crowd, although looking the other way.

"Hey Armin, what's going on? Is Mikasa beating someone up again?"

I ask, trying to look over all the several tall people, yet to no avail. Armin nods his head, and I realize there are tears at the bottom of his blue eyes. My eyebrows crease.

"Armin what's wrong?"

I ask, but he just shakes his head.

"Look for yourself."

He says, pointing to the scene behind him. Confusion spread all over my face, I continue walking toward Mikasa and whomever she's beating up. Just as I'm about to peek over the mounds of people, I hear a scream, and the sound of someone's gut being punched. Hard. I freeze. The person starts to speak, lowly, but easy to hear, and I recognize that voice easily. It's Sasha. My eyes widen as I push through the crowd, looking over the taller people that are left, and seeing Mikasa pressing Sasha against the wall by her neck, her left arm swinging back for what I assume is another punch. Sasha on the other hand, has blood dripping from her mouth and what looks like a bruised jaw.

I look around the crowd for the rest of the group, finding them in the right hand corner. All of their heads are bowed; they're too afraid to do anything. But then again, I would be too. If it weren't for the burning anger inside me. Before I can stop myself, it's too damn late.

"Mikasa! Stop!"

I didn't realize it, but I've managed to push past the remaining onlookers and make my way to Mikasa. I grab the arm that's in mid-air, the one that was going for another punch. Mikasa and I stand frozen, her clenched fist in mine, and her other hand still wrapped tightly around Sasha's throat. Sasha hangs aimlessly, looking at Mikasa with horror, and me with shock. The entire crowd has gone quiet.

I look back at Mikasa, her hair is covering her face, and her expression is split into different emotions. Anger, hurt, passion. She looks at me angrily, as if I am a bird that has just taken her share of the meal, even though I'm at the bottom of the pecking order and she's at the top.

"Mikasa, stop it! Sasha's done nothing wrong!"

I say, looking at her just as angry.

"What do you know, sunshine? Get on out of here and let me finish my own business."

She goes to yank her hand away, but I just tighten my grip. She looks back at me fiercely.

"Let go of me, you fucking idiot! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"

She says, and kicks my shin. I grit my teeth as I shield it with both hands, letting go of my grip I had on her wrist and watching as she takes another strike at Sasha. I grit my teeth harder. I look at my friends; they're all looking at me, some with pity, others not. Some look at me with anger, and some are even shaking their heads and waving their hands in their direction, telling me to get back. I look back at Mikasa; she's smiling, and laughing, as Sasha just waits there; probably for the final strike.

I look back at Mikasa, and then to Sasha. My blood boils. I immediately get up, and run toward Mikasa, tackling her to the ground.

"Hey! What are you doi- Get off of me!"

Mikasa says, throwing me off her as I shield my face from her claws.

"Sasha, get away from there!"

I say as Sasha just splutters and gasps, looking at me with horror.

"Sasha, what the fuck are you doing?! Get outta here!"

Sasha looks at me with a both worried and condescending look, before I see Connie come into view as he grabs Sasha by the arm and yanks her into the crowd, concealing her from public eye.

I turn my attention back to Mikasa, who's grey eyes are full of all out rage as she tries to get a good punch in. All I do is attempt to defend myself, eventually resulting in a punch to my non-covered eye and a split lip. The beating continues for a few more minutes, before I hear everything around me go silent and a booming voice.

"Jaeger! Ackerman! Come with me this instant!"

Oh. Shit.

Hey guys! Sorry it's taken so long to update, I've just been busy.... A lot of assignments lately and a lot of responsibilities.. I'm hoping to update more, but school and other things come first. Love you guys, thanks!
