Life is all about struggles. Sometimes bad, yet sometimes good. Along with our struggles, change takes place. Change is something that is key to happen, but why does some change even exist? I'm not talking about the kind of change in a TV show, like them getting new characters, or your boss telling you he's promoting you to a head supervisor. I talking about the change that no matter what people tell you, you know it will change your life forever.

I sit in the living room waiting on my husband to come home. He's been out working on new props for a movie he's helping direct. Our daughter, Rain, was upstairs sleeping. I walk into her room and look at her sweet face. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps.

"You know, she has your same perfection of looking beautiful in her sleep" I jump at first but then know it's my husband's gentle voice behind me. I smile and back slowly out of the door, shutting it.

"Hmmmm, funny" I say as I wrap my arms around his neck and welcome him home with a sweet kiss.

"I missed you today" he replies as I pull away.

"I missed you too." I smile. I let him go and he grabs my hand as we start walking back downstairs.

"How was the doctor today love?" My heart drops and I don't answer as I freeze. He turns around and looks at me.

"Kay, what's wrong?" I don't know how to tell him. I push in front of him and lead him into the dining room.

"Kay?"

"Kendall, you might want to sit down" He wraps his around my waist, but I push him away. His face grows worry and pain.

"Kay, please tell me, what happened?" I sit down next to him and keep hold of his hand in mine.

"Kendall, they informed me that something serious could possibly change everything for us." He scrunches his eyebrows together and whispers

"Well what is it?"

"I'm waiting on a phone call and then I'll know for sure"

"Kay, please, what will you know for sure?"Just as he asked the phone rang. I jumped up and my heart beats a thousand to nothing. Kendall comes behind me and puts his hand on my back for comfort, even if he has no clue of what's going on.

"Hello" my voice stumbles. The voice on the other end asks for Kay Schmidt.

"This is her"

"Are you sure?" I shakily ask. I heard the ladies voice say yes and then I dropped the phone and burst into tears. The doctor just confirmed my fears. Kendall quickly grabbed the phone and picked it up off the ground.

"Can you tell me what's going on please, I'm her husband" He spoke into the speaker. His posture changed and his body grew stiff. I knew she must have told him.

"T-thanks" he chokes out. He hung up the phone and fell to the ground with me. He tried to hold it in as he held me tight, but finally he broke down with me. How could I blame him? He was just informed his wife, the mother to his child, and the love of his life has breast cancer....

~~~~~~~~~
So i know this is something kind of depressing and sad, but i have a aunt who has dealt with cancer for some part of her life. I've seen the struggles she's gone through, and everything her family has had to deal with, but no matter what, her husband has stood by her side.Therefore, this whole books dedication goes to her. I hope some of you can relate to the feelings of what it's like to have someone you love have something so small impact their whole life. If you have a touching story, or want to share something with me, please feel free to talk to me, either on here, or my account @sugar121596 I'd really like to put someone else's emotions into this book. Breast cancer is a serious trademark in a women's life. I hope one day we'll find the cure! ♥ Thanks for reading, please vote/ comment/ add to your reading list. Thanks again loves.
Xoxo- Katie!
