New Year Eve Party

It was finally December 31st and everything was about to change in Myra's life forever. James had everything ready for midnight when he would be proposing to Myra. James was so nervous that as he stood in his room at Malfoy Manor shacking as he straightened his tuck in the mirror preparing for that party that would be starting in a matter of two hours. Everything was put into place from the twinkling lights to the heart made of violet flowers. Everything James had learned that Myra love about his dates he planned for them. What better way to propose to her than with the things she loved. Not to mention the little surprise he had for her as a ring. At the age of nine James had made the joke that if he ever married her he would marry her with a ring pop. Myra's favorite candy had always been ring pops and that was how James was going to propose was with a ring pop. Although he would have the real ring as well he still wanted to remind her that he kept to his promises.

Everyone they knew would be there so everything had to be perfect. When James made it to the ballroom everyone that was staying at the manor besides Myra was down there. As Leo placed the last rose in the heart he turned to James and gave him a hard stare.

"You are going to be taking my twin away from me man. I just got her back and now I am going to be losing her again. I already have to share her with that babe growing inside of her thanks to you, now you will be taking her away from me once you both are married."

"I promise you Leo that you will be able to make up for lost time even once we are married. Anyway we will only be married if she says yes to me."

"She is going to say yes don't even worry. Lily has been telling me so much about Myra that she thinks I should know about her that Myra has not told me herself yet. Myra has been dreaming about the day you would propose to her since your one year anniversary. You have treated my sister like the princess she never got to be growing up with dad wrapped around her little finger. Just wait until your daughter is born man. You will do anything for her. Just like I will be the uncle that will protect he not matter what. As I am sure Albus will also be and she will have Lily, my mom and dad, Aunt Ginny and Uncle Harry, the Weasley Clan, her great grandmother, Aunt Pansy, Uncle Blaise, Uncle Theo, and all of our friends. This kid will not know what it is like not to be loved. Just like my two little brothers who will be there to protect the niece."

"Thanks Leo I really needed that"
"No problem. Now go get Myra"

As the party began James's nerves were even more intense then before as he thought about what was to happen in less than ten minutes. As he lead Myra to the small secluded balcony where everything was set up for the proposal.

As the countdown to midnight began James took the ring from his pocket and got down on one knee as Myra looked out over the garden. When she turned to give James a midnight kiss she was surprised to see him down on one knee holding out a ring pop.

"Myra Narcissa Lynn Granger-Malfoy you have always been there throughout my entire life. I was only six years old when I told you I loved you. At that age I didn't even know what love was as I got older I saw it in my parents that love that they shared for each other and I knew that one day I wanted that as well. You were the first girl I ever said I loved you to even before we were dating because deep down I knew I would end up with you one day. Even though it took me five years to figure out it is you that I want to spend the rest of my life with. You not only put up with me but all of my friends as well. You have always been a part of the family but now I really want to make you a permanent member. I have always loved you and I will always love you. You are the only person besides our children I want in my future. So I ask you this one question Myra will you do me the honor of becoming my forever and create a family with me?"

"James.....

I am back with another update sorry it took so long for an update. Between my friends and their problems and my open mental health issues I have not been able to write as much as I would like. I am better now and I will hopefully be more active. Just to let ya'll know if there happens to be another large break in the future just know it is for good reasons and that I have not given up on this story I plan to write so much more as I have fallen in love with these characters and the story I have created with the help of some of you.
