•Chapter Eight:Secret Life of Hale!•

"Peter Called You? Have you called him back?" A woman's voice shouted up the stairs , Cars could be heard occasionally driving down the main road, the house was off the main roads , in the middle of woodlands slight , just off the road to the main town and close to the lake.
"No Mom , Tell Dad Call him , He's weird" a younger boy's voice had called back.
"Why do I have to call him? He didn't call me?" Derek had replied who was on the porch of the house , fixing the side hinges of the door. "That's because you don't have a phone dad!"
"Derek , He's your uncle" Olivia had replied who stood in the doorway looking down at her husband with a coffee in hand , who looked back at her with a look that said 'I get what your saying but I still don't want to do it'.
"Yeah I didn't have a choice in that matter" Derek mumbled under his breathe even though he knew She could hear him.
"Derek Call him , it could be important, He only lives two towns over" Olivia said before walking back into the house with Derek trailing behind.
"Jayden , Come on! Your going to be late" Olivia said who heading for the kitchen and placed her Coffee on the side.
Jayden soon after came slowly down the stairs and looked at his dad who was staring at him as he walked , He wore a black leather jacket with dark blue skinny jeans and a plain top under his jacket.
"What?" Jayden said looking at his Dad who just stared at him, Derek looked at his son and just by thought how someone could turn out looking and somewhat sounding like a younger version of yourself , it was terrifying to Derek , for starters, being a Dad was terrifying.
"You look Good also We need to have a Serious conversation about you sneaking out at night, You know i can heard you every time right , especially with that car and your not exactly the most secretive person sneaking back in, and i'm definitely not telling your mother that" Derek said looking at his son who's heart rate quickened slightly at first before resuming back to normal.
"You gave me that car , and also I was only out for a couple of hours , seeing a friend is all" Jayden said crossing his arms in a way which unknown to him copying his father.
"Friend? What Friend? You never mentioned a friend?" Derek said as he followed his son into the living room.
"Just a Friend Dad , I'm 20 not 7, I can meet people you know" Jayden said crashing down onto the sofa as Derek sat across from
him.
"Also Why has Uncle Peter called me like three times, what's up with him?" Jayden said looking at his dad.
"I will call him in a sec as soon as your Mom has gone to work" Derek said looking over into the kitchen to see Olivia washing up.
"Doesn't uncle peter live in Beacon Hills? Seen him a couple times round there?"Jayden asked which his dad was more confused.
"Wait , When you meet this 'friend' Does this 'friend' happen to live in Beacon Hills even though it's a 3 hour drive" Derek said looking at His son who gave a expression which said 'Whatever answer i tell you , will not be true'
"No" Jayden replied
"Why am i not surprised? What's your 'friend' called then? , seeing as you'll drive 3 hours away and back to see them?" Derek said sipping his coffee looking at his son who seemed to be very interested in his phone.
" Mischief" Jayden said looking his dad in the eyes who's expression was one of confusion?
"Mischief, Her Name is Mischief?" Derek said who was indeed confused.
"What kinda of name is that?"
"First He's a he and second , i'm pretty sure that's not his real name just what he likes to be called and thirdly , we are just friends "Jayden said before getting up and getting a drink himself along with stealing a slice of his dad's toast.
"I gotta go to work now dad , please don't spy in my life , it's weird" Jayden said rolling his eyes before leaving the house.
"It's not weird me keeping an eye on him closely right? i just want to make sure he's safe and not meeting a sociopath" Derek said to his wife who was just putting her lunch away for her shift at the hospital.
"Derek, Honey He's 20, He's allowed to meet people and weather or not this Mischief is a friend or not , we have to support him. I'm going to work , CALL YOUR UNCLE , for crying out loud I do everything in this house sometimes!" Olivia said before leaving the house, giving Derek a quick peck before Leaving for work.
Derek groaned before grabbing the house phone to call his uncle.
