Nate (Nathaniel's POV)

I waited patiently for him to come in. He was the nerd and I was the popular kid. For once, I was early.

When he arrived, I quickly shot him a smile, causing him to blush and smile back.
I thought this moment was perfect. My 'friends' however, had to ruin it by laughing.

His eyes began to water. I felt awful, I could've said something, I should've said something, something inside me stopped me.

Instead I turned to Angelica beside him. Acting like I was looking at her the whole time, she blushed but looked awkward. Why did I do that? I though I could never get him, because I too, am a him.

Angelica's POV

I walked into class and he was next to me. My crush, the nerd, Alex. He smiled but not at me, at the popular boy. I felt so ashamed, especially when everyone started laughing. I don't know who it was aimed at though. Me, Alex, someone else?

That's when I realized Nate's eyes upon me. He liked me? I felt bad that I didn't like him. I still smiled back but I wasn't thinking about him. I was thinking about Alex. Him and Nate are just friends, right? Or are we in a love triangle.
