My child hood friend

It all started when we moved to the city.

My father got a job at the city so we moved and that's where I met her.

Dian my childhood friend.
She was the first girl I saw after moving to the city we were neighbors she was just a couple of blocks away from our house.

A couple of weeks later I saw Dian at our house, I found out that my father and her father was Co workers and her father would often go to our house after going to work to drink with my father or just talk about things and he always brought Dian with him.

At first I didn't like her I don't know why I didn't like her but I didn't like her she was boring In my eyes but the longer we spent our day together the more I found out the she is a very nice girl.

We started playing, We would run around the house, Play hide and seek and many more but nothing will defeat our favorite game, Its acting as a prince and princess I don't know what I liked about it but I liked playing the game with her it was fun, She would act as the princess stuck in a tower you know just like the stories and I would be the knight in shining armor who would rescue her.

Years passed and we were still friends when we were in Elemantary we would always be together just talking and in High School we still talked but not that much anymore because we had our own friend group, And at this point I already had a crush on her but she didn't know because I didn't tell her it started at 4th grade when she gave our teacher a flower and she's smart funny and pretty but....

When we reached 9th grade I found out that they were gonna go to another country...

After we moved up from 8th grade to 9th grade I never saw her again after that.

I didn't even have the chance to say goodbye...

And tell her that I loved her...

Many years passed I went to culinary school and pursued my passion for cooking.

I opened many restaurants all over the country, I had everything. That's what people thought. Sure I had money and was very successful but something was missing.

A part of me was missing, I was not happy, I already achieved all of my dreams. I made my parents proud gave them a good life after they retired I have money. But I wasn't happy.

I continued to cook as a private chef for different celebrities. But after a couple of years I stopped being a private chef and just cooked in my own restaurant, I wanted to see other people smile and be happy because of my food that's what fuels my passion that is the thing that gives me a little bit of happiness.

I met many friends over the years I even taught some of them how to cook, But there was this one girl I couldn't forget, Dian...
I kept thinking about her even though we haven't talked since 8th grade she was stuck in my head, I couldn't get her out of my head. I tried distracting my self by pressuring my self through cooking but it wasn't working. I tried drinking it didn't work also.

I kept hoping that I would see her again
But at the end I just accepted the fact that I would never see her again.
One day it was a normal day at the restaurant it was raining, The restaurant wasn't that busy it only had like 6 people at that time, Then I saw a girl go into the restaurant soaking wet and sat down and ordered a coffee. I thought to my self.

"Cant she read this is fine dining not a coffee shop."

But she was hard headed she really wanted coffee so I went into my office and looked for coffee but I couldn't fine any but there was tea. So I went over to her and asked.
