Wolves of Fire: Call of the Three

Chapter 1

Cody was a wolf, he was a brave Timber wolf, but to others, everyone thinks he's still a tiny pup because he was a runt of his litter. But that doesn't stop him from trying to be the best. Sure, his siblings are all older and stronger than he is and they can make fun of him. But one day, they will realize they are wrong and will be sorry! He always promised.
"Come on, let's race to that tree... Oops, I forgot, you can't run fast! His siblings would say and then leave him in the dust.
Cody didn't like it at all, so he would always try his best to ignore them.
One sunny day after, once again, his siblings dusted him again for the milloths time, he went for a walk away from those..those Pesky little mutton heads.
He heard a rustling in the distance in one of the bushes. With precautions, he slowly walked towards it and took a peek inside. Inside was a Jaguar about his size and age. She was whimpering and licking her paw desperately.
When she saw Cody staring at her, she gave a startled yelp. ¨Hey, it's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you. Cody hushed. When the Jaguar saw his friendly gentle blue eyes were calm and soft, she smiled back at him, her bright brown eyes glittering with friendliness showing that she wasn't a threat either. Finally, she spoke back. "Who are you?"
"I'm Jesslina but you can call me Jess" She replied. "Call me Cody" Cody lent her his paw to help her out of the bush. "What were you doing in the bush?" He asked her once as they were sitting on the grass.
"My brothers kept blaming me for things that I didn't do and because of that, I was the only female cub there so of course, my dad and my mom tried their best to protect me from my siblings but they kept bugging me so I decided to run away from home and stay away from them until they forgive me." She blurted out all at once. By the time she finished, she was out of breath "ohh kay'' Cody nodded. "Come on, We'll be on our own for a while until our sibs forgive us or at least need us." "Good idea, let's get out of here and find another friend our age."
Cody and Jess were walking on the dirt path when someone called out "Move! He's coming for me! Without thinking, Cody pushed Jess onto the grass and rolled on top of her back placing his paw on her protectively. "Hey! What's the hurry for?" Cody asked in a low growl.
The creature was a small female fossa, she was a light brown and white mix with a little gold on her tail. She skidded to a stop. Looking back at her shoulders, she finally spoke. "Sorry, my sister is chasing me but not in a good way, she thinks I was the one who stole her food but it was my little brother. I saw him. My name is Tiana" Cody got off of Jess slowly and helped her up.
"Nice to meet you Tiana, I'm Cody and this is my g- I mean my friend Jesslina." Cody shook her paw. After a while they were back on the road to wherever they were going. Cody was the leader of the three and the two following him were his only loyal friends.  Just us three, that's all there is. Me, Jess, and Tiana and we need nobody else.
Far from the path they are walking on, a shadowy figure was watching them, a low voice spoke to it. ¨Great work master, you choose the right ones¨ The shadow figure turned to the low voice creature.  "There is more to their training, the spirits have told me they are the three most powerful animals in the kingdom forest. Next step is to meet and talk to them. I want to see their fighting skills." Cody was sniffing the ground when the shadowy figure popped up in front of them.
Cody gave a surprised scream. "Who are you?!" He growled. "Calm down you three, I mean no harm, but you all have been called to come by my master." "How do we know you aren't tricking us?" Tiana hissed, lashing her tail.  "Show me your fighting skills Cody" The shadow said. "How did you know my name?" Cody was surprised. "My master has been watching you. "Cody, you are loyal and always ready to help, you never give up and always be there for others. That's why you are here.  Jesslina, you are fierce and mighty, and also very smart and kind- hearted.
That's why you are here. Tiana, you are the brave and adventurous one, you love everything and love to explore. You love to hunt and play but also protect your friends and now your family. You may not know that yet but it will happen soon my friends." "Okay, so why do you have to call us specifically? I mean we are the ones who ran away from home because of our siblings." Cody asked. Tiana and Jess
nodded. "You will see why. Follow me" The Shadow figure said.

"Guys I'm not so sure we should trust an animal that popped out of NOwhere?!" Tiana nearly shouted.  "Don't worry, I will make sure nothing happens to any of us. Like it said, we are with each other for a reason, I'm gonna find out more. But we have to be cautious around it." Cody whispered. The shadow figure was waiting for them up ahead. Cody, Jess, and Tiana followed him and disappeared into a cave then the cave vanished as soon as everyone was in.
