Both Miguel and James cleaned up and fixed themselves

They walked to the front of the store. Where Mr.Doyle was writing in a book about some alterations he would have to get done.

"We'll take everything, have it sent to my house," said James

Mr. Doyle replied "say please"

James rolled his eyes and let a slight smirk creep on his face.

"Let's go, Miguel, we still have errands to run," said James gesturing for Miguel to come. "Goodbye Doyle and tell that little demon to stay out of trouble for me"

(And with that they walked out of the door)
The two of them finished their errands and started their trip home

As they drove away Miguel could hardly contain his excitement, he stared out the window daydreaming about his new wardrobe and all the wonderful things he's had gotten him. So much so that he didn't notice that they had arrived at the house.

James parked in the garage stepping out and walking into the house. Miguel followed after him.

"It's been a long day," James said stretching his arms up
"I hate shopping it takes all the energy out of me such a pretentious act"
"Look at me talking like a rich old lady"
"Are you hungry?" 
Miguel replied "um yeah, I'd love something to eat"
"Well come on in this kitchen, help me make something" replied James

(James walked to the kitchen)

" I don't cook," said Miguel nervously.
James just looked at him, "get your ass in that kitchen"

Miguel stepped in front of James and they both walked into the kitchen

James slipped an apron over the boy's neck, commenting "I should give you the whole experience"

James looked in the fridge spotting lemons. "Pasta Al Limone" James exclaimed
This made Miguel smile

Grab the spaghetti out of the cabinet said James pointing to a cabinet above Miguel

(James grabbed a large pot and a skillet from under the counter. placing the skillet on the stove and the pot in the sink )

James filled the pot with water putting it on the stove and Turning on the fire.  after that, He pointed at a cabinet.  Gesturing for Miguel to open it.

Classically Miguel immediately understood James's silent command. Opening up the cabinet, instantly becoming entranced in the colorful jars of spices and grain with names he couldn't hope to pronounce.

Miguel's wandering mind was snapped back to reality as James spoke, "the pasta".
Miguel replied " which one"
"Dealers choice," said James

Miguel glossed over the options, choosing the ones that looked like little bowties. Miguel picked up the jar presenting it to James.

James closed his eyes almost letting out a small chuckle."You had to pick this one, didn't you?  I would expect nothing less".

James pulled off the top of the jar pouring the contents in the pot and adding salt

As the pasta boiled James added butter to the skillet turning it on with a satisfying (click click).

As it melted, James retrieved all the other needed ingredients.

He positioned Miguel at a cutting board giving him a knife and two lemons... "Slice these in half"

Miguel did as he was told then met James at the stove.

James held Miguel's hands in his squeezing the lemons into the pot Already smelling lovely with garlic and herbs which filled the air of the kitchen. James then added flour and let it cook finally adding cream and Parmesan and adding the pasta.

In the end, they had a meal and sat down at the table.

James sat the skillet on the table telling Miguel to sit.  James left and returned with two plates, two forks, glasses, and a bottle of wine.

"I don't drink," said Miguel
"You'll learn," said James as he poured two glasses

(Miguel and James ate and drank their wine enjoying each other company)

"Did you enjoy shopping?"Asked James

"I did, It reminds me of movies I would watch when I was young" replied Miguel

"Good I enjoyed you" stated James making Miguel blush

You know I always hated when my favorite authors would take whole season sabbaticals, now I'm one of them. Thanks to those who still read and next will be a lemon I miss it
