We Are Tied

The plan - A new beginning

Gabby and Kane are now at Kane's house planning when and how they are going to meet.
So far they have decided that they will see each other everyday but on the weekends, it would be Kane going to Gabby's home. It has only been a day of going through with this plan but it seems to be working.

Time skip(2 years)

Me and Kane are now middle school. I am in 8th grade and Kane is in 7th grade, where the crushes and heartbreaks begin.
The only time that we get to speak to each other is during lunch and when we are at each other's homes. I hope that doesn't make us less close to each other. She is the only genuine person that I've got in my life.

(Gabby P.O.V)
At her house

Gabby and Kane are laying on the floor staring at the glow in the dark stickers on the roof.

Gabby - Hey Kane have you thought about what you want to be when you grow up?

Kane - I have, but it isn't specific.

Gabby - Well, what is it?

Kane - I want to make children happy so I'm thinking that working at a toy shop like build- a - bear could be a good idea.

Gabby chuckles - Yeah, I can see you working there.

Kane - What about you? You don't really seem set on something.

Gabby - I think I am, boxing is actually what I feel happy doing. I want to keep doing it in the future.

Kane - Just like you said; I can see you doing that, you are really strong physically and mentally.

Gabby - Hopefully we are still together by then.

Kane - Don't you ever doubt it, I'm never leaving you, no matter how annoying I get haha.

Gabby laughs - You better stay with me.

They both sigh happily and end their deep conversation. Since then, they haven't broke contact.

(The next day at school)
Kane and Gabby are walking to the cafeteria for lunch.

Kane whines - Why is the weekend over? It was too short.

Gabby - If only it lasted longer.

Kane - mhm *sigh* well what can you do? Life is life sadly.

Gabby - Is there anyone that you like right now?

Kane - Like like - like?
Gabby - Yeah.

Kane - Honestly every boy here is ugly to me. But I like someone in this school. Can you try to guess?

Gabby looks down.
Gabby - um, I can't think of anyone since I don't know who your friends are.

Kane - You know him I think.
Gabby thinks ' what?'

Gabby - Abraham?

Kane gasps - yeah him.
Gabby gulps.

Gabby - I can help you if you want.
Kane sighs - With what? don't you like him?

Gabby furrows her eyebrows - What? Where or who did you get that from?

Kane - I don't know, just thought you would, you guys are friends so...

Gabby - Boys are overrated; I'm thinking of avoiding them.

Kane whispers - Does that mean *gasp* are you bi sexual?

Gabby - What? No. I just don't like any boys here. I mean I do feel more feelings around a specific girl but I don't think I like her.

Kane exclaims, her eyes glowing - You need tell me who she is.
Gabby starts to sweat.

Gabby - I - I don't think I can say, she is really introverted.

Kane - Aww, I thought you would tell me everything.

Gabby - I do, but I just don't think that it is important.

Kane steps away.
Kane - I'll go to class early, see you.

Gabby - Sure, see you.
