Shirabu has always admired his captain for his volleyball skills. Heck he went to Shiratorizawa because of him. So hearing his captain say "You should have come to Shiratorizawa" to another team's setter had him thinking.

"Was I not good enough? "

"Was my setting skills not good? "

Question after question kept popping in his head at the moment. He didn't hear the rest of the conversation as he was preoccupied with his own thoughts.

He hurriedly left the scene not wanting to be seen. He didn't even notice the concern eyes following him as he fled.

Later that night Shirabu laid in his bed wide awake the scene from earlier replaying in his mind.

"If we won tomorrow will he finally realize that we're here not Oikawa? "

It kind of hurt his pride that his own captain would choose another team's setter over him. Shiratorizawa had 2 setters however his captain only had his eyes on Seijoh's setter. He wanted to hate Oikawa but he can't cause the man didn't even do anything. It just frustrates him so much.

"I'll show him. We'll win tomorrow's game then he'll finally realize that we don't need Oikawa."

They lost? How could the lost? No... This can't be

They were the best in the prefecture how could they lose

Was it his fault? Was his sets the reason they lost? Maybe if he didn't panic they would have won.

If Oikawa was their setter maybe the could have won?

Maybe Ushijima was right maybe Oikawa should have gone to Shiratorizawa

Shirabu was sitting on a swing in a near by park. His mind over thinking of all the mistakes he has done over the game. On how maybe just maybe the could have won  if they had Oikawa as their setter and not him. Thought of how he was not good enough. Picking on all the flaws he saw in him as a setter.

"Why was I even the starting setter?" Shirabu whispered to himself

"That's because you deserve to be" a voice said behind Shirabu

Shirabu immediately raised his head and turn to see who just spoke.

"Oikawa-san..." Shirabu called out to the older male while wiping the tears away "What are you doing all the way over here? "

Oikawa shrugged "Just passing by. How about you what are you doing here all alone? "

Shirabu remained silent only looking at his hands

Oikawa then walked closer sitting on the other swing beside Shirabu.

"Have.. have you ever thought that you weren't good enough as a setter? That it was your fault that you lost" Shirabu asked in a quiet tone

"Hmm yeah" Oikawa answered honestly

Shirabu was shock he never thought that the Oikawa Tooru will say that.

Oikawa laugh at his reaction "Don't look at me like that. I'm human too. "

There were silence after that. Shirabu sitting there staring at Oikawa and Oikawa just smiling at him.

Oikawa's face then turn serious which made sShirabu flinched.

"I know you heard our conversation yesterday." Oikawa said as Shirabu looked away

"I've been thinking..."Shirabu started "Maybe if you did come to Shiratorizawa we could have won... "

Oikawa's eyes soften at that. He then took Shirabu's hands and looked him in the eyes.

"Hey listen your an amazing setter okay? I saw it with my own eyes. You worked hard to get to were you are now. Don't mind what Ushijima said" Oikawa said "He's a dick"

"i just feel like it was my fault why we lost" Shirabu

"It isn't, okay? Volleyball is a team sport." Oikawa "How about we go and get some ice cream while we make fun of Karasuno. Would that make you feel better? "

Shirabu laughed and stood up "Yeah I guess"

"Great! Let's go" Oikawa said while dragging Shirabu
