 —They are a group of twelve powerful Demons under 's command, who have all were given a portion of his blood which have augmented their powers.

—The Twelve Kizuki are divided into two groups, the Upper Ranks and the Lower Ranks. Each has their number engraved into their eye, with the Lower members having it in only one, whereas Upper members have it in both. The members of the Twelve Kizuki are fluctuated, and Muzan can replace them or even kill them once he thinks it's necessary.

—After the demise of Kyogai and later , the Lower Moon Five, Muzan was frustrated by the Lower Moon's constant failures. He called the Lower Moon One, Two, Three, Four and the current Six to a meeting, rebuking them and believing he no longer needed the Lower Moons. As a result, Muzan started to kill the Two, Three, Four and Six one by one, as they respectively were begging for Muzan's blood, trying to deny Muzan's opinion and trying to think about flattering his master.

"Where are we." Said all the Lowers "..." 'There are only lower rank demons here. This is bad news for them. Mmm Master Muzan...' 

One of the Lowers looked around at me, a random demon bowing. "Who's that-." "Why are you all standing there." 'So they don't fear him as much as they should.' They all bow down to him or her. "Mmmmm you all couldn't bow, but M/n did" "We are very sorry sir-" "We didn't know it was its was you sir!"

"....But M/n did." "But your ora was different and-" One of the Demons started, but was interrupted by Me "Thats not it" every demon including Muzan look at Me. "What do you mean" "It's not the ora that helped me. If you really want to understand. My body did it by itself." "Wha-" "How!" ".....Enmu, Rokuro,  Wakuraba,  Mukago, Kamanue,....there is nothing to tell. Your fear of Master Muzan should be greater than anything. If you don't bow from seeing him in a different body or shape. With different ora you don't truly fear him. Thats all there is to it....."

—The Lower Moons are the weaker tier of the Twelve Demon Moons, with the Lower Six being the weakest. Among the Lower Moons, stood the only example of being kicked out of the group by Muzan himself; Kyogai. Kyogai had already reached his "Limit" and could no longer consume human flesh. Therefore, he was gradually losing his appetite for human flesh, thereby beginning to lose the ability to evolve and become stronger. As a result, Muzan deemed Kyogai too weak to remain in his position of Lower Moon Six, so he discarded him.

"Who even are you kid, look up"said Lower 2 "I don't feel like it. Besides your attention is not supposed to be on me, but Master Muzan." "Tch, sir he said your name twice. Are you going to kill him?!" "No."

"M/n look up at them, show them your eyes." M/n looked up and they all looked scared. "What happened to your eye wait.... He's not in the Upper." "...."

Muzan killed all of the Lower demons living one left. 

— the Lower Moon One, was the only Lower Moon left. However, unlike others, Enmu showed no fear over the brink of death and even nonchalantly accepted it for pure excitement. Enmu's sadistic streak impressed Muzan, and he sent Enmu for a mission.

"M/n you are going to kill 2 Hashira for me. Got it M/n" "Of course Muzan."

"Good."

M/n appeared outside of a little town landing on his feet.
