On the eve of June 1888, In the city of London, a man named Daniel Northmen married his wife, Florence Everman. Their "just married" couple life was good to begin with, both from families who are known for their wealth and have famous ancestors from both sides of the family. Two years after their marriage, Florence gave birth to their first child and only daughter, Catherine Northmen, and soon later gave birth to their second child, Samuel Northmen. The children grew up with a dependable father and loving strong mother, all was well until a rumor went around saying that "Daniel Northmen, the successor of the Northmen wealth was not like what he seems".

Young Catherine who just turned 19 at the time was wondering what does the rumor mean, so she asked her maid to make up a lie and that she was invited to a ball without her parent's permission. She went out of her house and looked for her dad in disguise, only to find him in a carriage with an unknown man. He was vulnerable and open to the man, and so was the man to him. She was in complete horror seeing her dad in that state. And based on the timeline itself, men who are openly fond of other men are known as Homosexuals, and that is not a socially accepted thing.

She rushed home and went to the bathroom, screaming and tearing her eyes as she recalls the sight of her dad with another man. And her mother heard and came as quickly as possible and took her to her room while comforting and calming her down. Florence is not naive and is way smarter than her posh feminine outer shell. In her younger days, she went to college and took the Psychology major, and graduated with a high above average scoring, even passing her male colleagues. And that she understands that her daughter must have seen something so soul-shaking that she has become terrified.

After one hour in her mother's arms, Florence asked Catherine about the reason why was she so terrified and helpless. Catherine replied " I saw father with another-" "Men ?" asked Florence, Catherine nodded quickly and asked, "How do you know mother ?"

Her mother replied, "Since I was young, I have always been in love with the human mind and emotion, it is such an interesting thing for me, even till today. The moment I met your father, when we were both your age, we fell in love deeply and I realized that the way he does things and says things were different compared to other men his age. He chooses his words carefully and his tone and his body language, and I notice that he was also really fond of men, any kind of men. I was driven to deep sadness just like you were when you saw him, it was as if I have been betrayed. I wanted to stop loving him but I just could not, I met him when I was in a deep state of mourning the loss of someone I deeply cared about. He helped open my eyes and see the beauty of things and including myself, I love him dearly and he still loves me in many ways he would not do to others. Love itself is tricky, it blinds you from reality and all the troubles that are ahead of you, but it is also the fuel, the reason why you would fight for the people you care about. I love him and would do whatever means necessary to protect him, and I love you and your little brother too, my darling heart"

5 years have passed and unfortunately, Florence died in an accident while going home from her trip to the north. Driven by grief and sadness and a mix of frustration, on the night of June 1914, Daniel Northmen was found dead in the woods with a man, named Edward Burming. The autopsy results revealed that both were drunk and Daniel was beaten by Edward, with marks on his chest, neck, and legs. And surprisingly also when the police were investigating the area they found a 26 centimeters long knife, a small sword to be exact, 6 meters from the crime scene. And shown to link with the mark on Edward's chest and Daniel's chest.

It was then concluded that Daniel and went out to the woods on the evening of June 1914, and met Edward there too. Many pieces of evidence such as letters and photos were found in Daniel's room in his house and Edward's room in his house. Letters that are filled with tender words and kind-hearted poems, lovers would usually send these letters to each other. In those letters, Daniel once wrote to Edward that "Having children with Florence is disgusting and that she is not even that good" and that his children Catherine and Samuel are nothing but "Low life creatures who are lucky enough to be my children and born into the Northmen family name" and that if it was possible, he would rather have babies with Edward instead with Florence.
