Chapter 19 - Elina

Happy New Years !! ;)

Scarlet hadn't moved ever since i've spoke. We've stayed in place with silence filling the remaining air for a couple of minutes. No one is stopping her from facing me yet, so why hasn't she? She's probably nervous that a stranger is coddling her. Well, i've done it before.. i've shown up to her. She didn't seem to freak out as much.

I've repeatedly tried to read her mind however when I try to, I can't seem to be focused on one single thing. There's so much in her head, it's like a storm! Her whole body was tense and I knew she didn't feel well. I knew there was more to that than me showing up.. It's probably all the problems that surround her. I've repeatedly tried to read her mind but I just couldn't.

"Aren't you going to face me, darling?" I said, sitting up. I slightly backed away noticing how her face slowly had gotten paler. She seemed to be out of words, completely speechless. Her eyes were so.. How could I put this? Her eyes were so filled with panic yet they looked so dull. "Scarlet." I mumbled, slightly shaking her cold body. She seemed to be in absolute shock.. Maybe this wasn't a good idea at all.

I could feel the goosebumps arise from her skin, she blinked multiple times times. She licked her chapped lips as her eyes began to widen slowly. I removed my hand from her as she began to slowly sit up. I backed up a bit yet she still hadn't faced me. 

I could feel her heart beat quicken up with every second. "Why are so so nervous Scarlet?" I whispered into her ear. She gulped, refusing to face me at all. "You're not real.. I can't believe you are." She said, her voice laced with fright. I quietly laughed. "I'm behind you.. I'm alive just as you are and i'm speaking to you. I'm real as you are." I told her. I slowly put my hand on her cheek, slowly turning her face to face mine.

At that, she instantly gasped in shock. She stared into my eyes with her honey eyes. She looked as if she wanted to speak up yet she didn't. Scarlet began to come closer, her hands slowly making their way to my face.

"You're real! So i'm not crazy.." She whispered, cracking a smile at me. I began to smile back, feeling a fuzziness come back to me. I admired her from so close. I couldn't believe I was here.. with her! I've finally faced her and she knows i'm not all in her head. "of course." I whispered back.

However then, she backed away from me. She shook her head. "Who are you? How'd you even get in here?" She said so quietly. I'm sort of suprised she didn't ask that at the beginning. Since i'm assuming most people would ask how a stranger got into their homes.. and ended up in this situation.

"I'm Elina and It have my ways." I said, holding back my grin. She looked annoyed at my response yet a bit scared. I don't have any bad intentions though.. I need her to know that. "I don't know you.. you're just a stranger in my house.. in my bedroom!" She gulped, looking elsewhere other than into my eyes.

Kind of hurtful, but true.

After that sentence, there are no words to be spoken again. However as we are in silence, this time it's awfully awkward and weird. I wanted to speak up various times bur then I figured that it would most likely freak her out and cause her to overthink everything once again. But as she said, I am still a stranger in her bed, she doesn't who me at all and she doesn't know what I am.

Scarlet lifted her head again to face me. "Say something, anything!" She demanded as I raised my eyebrow. "I-I'm sorry, I just..-" Before I could finish my sentence, she cut me off. "You're her! That person.. The woman." She exclaimed. I looked at her with pure confusion. "What?" I questioned. Then I realized that i've shown up to her before and she mentioned that. She stared at me. "You were there! You were the one watching me.. weren't you?" She asked. I stayed silent, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"You creep." She whispered. Scarlet smiled at first but then it faded quickly. She furrowed her eyebrows, looking at me. "You were there when Lèon was here this morning.. when me and him were arguing." She mumbled.

I looked away as guilt started to catch up to me. I slowly nodded, embarrassed to look into her eyes. "So you know," Scarlet murmured. "How did you even get in here? How didn't I see you?" She questioned, looking completely confused. I could've compelled her to forget this interference and sleep this mess off.. Yet I couldn't do that to her. This feeling was alien, absolutely strange. I didn't expect this to get this far either.. But here I am!

"I just.." I gulped. "I don't know how to.. not make this weird." I said looking back at her. She slightly tilted her head, obviously looking disappointed. "I think it would be best if you left.. now." She sighed. However, before I could speak up, I heard a familiar masculine voice behind us.
