Seven -> Olivia Parks

"I WANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU WERE ALL DAY!" My mother yelled.

"You're lying and we don't lie to each other." Maria sighed, running a hand through her hair.

"I-I don't know what to say." I shook my head.

"How about.... TELLING THE TRUTH!" My mom yelled.

"Mom!" I yelled back. This would be easier if my mom wasn't pacing the kitchen and yelling at me every time I opened my mouth.

"YOU DITCHED SCHOOL! I HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHY!" My mom yelled.

"I think we all do." My dad said. I turned around and saw him staring at me with an angry expression.

"Dad." I sighed. "I wish I could explain where I was, but I-I, I can't."

"You can't?" My dad asked, raising an eyebrow.

"No, I can't. But it won't happen again." I sighed.

"Damn right it won't happen again." My mom mumbled.

"Why can't you tell us?" Maria asked.

"I wish I could, okay? And I will eventually tell you but right now I can't." I sighed.

"Is someone threatening you?" My dad asked, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"No." I groaned, shrugging his hand off me.

"Then where were you?" He asked.

"I-I can't tell you." I stuttered.

"Fine." My dad said. "Upstairs. Until you tell us where you were."

I lowered my head and exited the white kitchen and started up the hardwood stairs. Once I reached my room I pulled out my phone and closed my door. I opened my contacts and clicked Dylan's name before pressing call.

My breath was ragged as I waited for him to pick up. I was almost in tears, I hate lying to my mom and dad, especially Maria. This is all his fault.

"Hello, Olivia." He answered.

"I can't do this." I shook my head.

"Can't do what?" He asked.

"I can't lie to them. They know I skipped and Maria is going to get mad at me for lying and my dad is going to be so disappointed in me and my mom will never trust me again." I rambled.

"Hey, its okay. I'm lying to my parents too. I'm actually grounded right now." He said and I could tell he was smiling.

"Yeah, but you get in trouble all the time. I don't." I sighed. Its true, almost everything Dylan does is against his parents causing him to get grounded or yelled at.

"That's true." He sighed. "How about this. I will let you tell Maria."

"W-what?" I asked.

"I might have already told my best friend Joey so you can tell Maria." He said and I knew he was trying to shrug it off like it was nothing.

"Wait, Joey Harbor?" I asked.

"Yeah. You know him?" He asked.

"Maria and I met him once." I shrugged.

"Great. I have to though. I will text you later." He rushed.

"Okay, bye." I sighed before ending the call.

I threw my phone onto my bed and groaned. All of this happened because Dylan had to blackmail me, then show me who he was causing me to enjoy his company and start to become infatuated with hi- oh shit.
