The theatre was dark and vacant except for a few scattered people seated randomly throughout the seats. Jade walked slowly and carefully seated herself in the middle row, making sure to get a good view of the theatre. She looked around nervous, excited to watch the vampire movie marathon. She had waited weeks to see it with her friend Jake, but he couldn't go with her because he had to go to his cousin's birthday party. So she ended up going alone. She was excited to stay up until it was over at 2:00 in the morning, but she was disappointed her best friend wasn't going to be there to enjoy it.

She pulled out her phone from her pocket and sent him a text.

Hey jakey. I'm at the movies watching the vampire movie marathon. My mom let me go out and see the whole thing. So I'll be staying up til 2 in the morning. I wish you were here to see it with me.

She sent him the text and waited for him to reply. Then she felt her phone buzz, and looked at the text he sent.

That's awesome! Yeah I wish I was there 2. My cousin's birthday party is pretty dull. I love my cousin, but man does she have horrible taste in music. If i hear call me maybe one more time, I swear i 'm going to scream.

Jade smirked, and was about to text back when the people at the theater asked to turn off all phones. She texted him good bye, and quickly turned off the phone. She stared at the movie theater screen as the movie began to start. While she was watching the movie she didn't notice that her phone had fallen under her seat.

She munched on her popcorn, as she watched the old Dracula movie with Bela Lugosi. She would giggle when she saw the fake vampire bats held up with strings, and at the cheesy special effects that the old film had. After the movie was over she continued to watch the other movies, but as the hours ticked by she began to get sleepy, and finally at some point she drifted off into a deep sleep.

The roar of thunder outside of the theater had woke her up. While she was sleeping it had began to rain, and thunder outside. Jade looked around at the theatre, and saw that everyone had left. She groggily looked up at the screen and saw that they were still playing a movie. It was fright night, but she didn't feel like staying up watching anymore movies alone in an empty theater. She stood up and began to walk out the exit. She immediately woke up when she felt the cold rain pelt her face. She flipped her hood on her head, and began to feel out her pockets for her phone. Her eyes grew wide in disbelief to realization that she had lost her phone.

"Oh crap! It must of slipped out in the theater." She said as she turned around to try to push the door open again. It was already locked, and she couldn't go back inside to get it.

Damn, I have to find a phone to call my mom to pick me up. Its pretty late, I don't know if anybody will still be open. She thought as she stepped out to the side walk and looked around the closed stores. She walked nervously down the sidewalk, with her ice cold hands shoved into her pockets. When she reached the end of the block she saw that a pizza parlor was still open, and she could see people inside. She sighed in relief finding a place that was open.she jogged over to the little restaurant, and opened the door. She was greeted with a gust of warm air. Her cold cheeks began to warm up again as she walked inside.

It looked clean and normal inside. It had smooth wooden floors, and the tables had red table cloth, with a bouquet of white roses and framed pictures of old Italian movie posters, and singers.

She smirked as she studied the pictures, and tried to find the singers she knew. Her silver eyes scanned over the wall, and found a picture of her favorite singer Gigliola Cinquetti. She grinned, not noticing that someone was behind her.

"Cool they have a picture of Gigliola." She mumbled as she stepped back, walking into the waiter behind her. She jumped surprised, and turned around.
