Chapter five: Not A Normal Life After All

"So how you been Leila? I really missed you." He started after three minutes of silence which I think I prefer it silent than him speaking.

"Uh I been good. Been working out and making friends. The usual." I said looking out the window.

"The usual? By turning into a complete badass and hangs out with seniors? Okay then. Did you miss me?" I turned to look at him who was still focused on the street.

Why do you even care!?

"You can say that I guess." I simply answered.

He sighed and kept driving taking a sharp turn, "So um anything new expect the whole work out thing and turning into a bad girl act?" He asked reaching towards a burger king drive-thru.

"Uh I made a best friend a female version. Her names Crystal and I got a boyfriend as well." I said looking at my phone seeing Adrian texting me like crazy.

"Thats cool. Wait you got a boyfriend? I thought you would wait for me!" He snapped looking at me.

Jealous now are we?

"I did. For a few months of course. I can't wait forever. You act like I lost my virginity to him!" I snapped back. He looked away and ordered.

" What do you want to eat?" He asked looking at me again.

Let's go crazy with the order!

"Just get me French fries." I sighed responding to Adrian.

Damn...just fries?

"Well how long have you been with the guy?"

"Um I'm not good in the whole relationship but I think it's like almost three years and six months or something like that."

"Damn when did you meet him?"

"Three months before leaving 7th grade."

"Oh. well I been good. Turns out my dad is taking this land too. and um ugh I can't say the rest but yeah."

"Why can't you?"

"Cause you wouldn't understand."

"Why do you say that?"

"Cause you're just human."

"And what are you, huh, a damn vampire!"

"No. I don't like fucking leeches okay?"

"Whatever. so werewolf. Ooo so scary. Jonathan be for real you aren't an animal!" I snapped back grabbing my fries from the bag he got.

"What if I was actually a werewolf would you be scared of me?" He asked looking into my eyes.

I felt weak in my knees just looking at those eyes. "No. I would just think twilight is happening to me in real life. What next my boyfriend is actually a vampire and his name is actually edward! Is your name Jacob?" I said eyeing him to see if this was anything true.

I read stories about this. Even love stories but they can't be true. Or can they?

"No. This isn't twilight. It's the real life with vampires and werewolves of course. Wait what's your boyfriends name?" I hesitated on answering that question.

"Uh Adrian?" I said eating my fries away. The car came to a sudden halt that the damn seatbelt burned my shoulder.

"Ow." I muttered.

"Youre dating Adrian!! The damn soon to be alpha!! I thought he found his mate already! His real mate!" He growled.

"Wait Adrian is a damn wolf too?! Wait what's a mate? Wait don't answer that." I asked.
