Where Love Lies

part one

Sierra's outfit

Morning comes way too early for Sierra, as she stayed up late organizing her boss's files but she can't do anything about it. She just sucks it up and goes into the bathroom  and does her morning routine. She applied minimal makeup , just some eyeliner and lipgloss.
She then dresses up in a white long-sleeved dress  and goes into the kitchen to prepare her breakfast.

She wore a grey apron and made pancakes with a glass of orange juice..she would have preferred coffee but it was too early for that.

Sierra removes her apron and sits to eat her breakfast while checking the watch she had on .

Sierra sees that she has 45 minutes left to reach her job, luckily it is 30 minutes from her apartment complex and the coffee shop where she buys hers and the boss' coffee is along the way.
She hurriedly finishes eating and grabs her keys, coat and handbag , heading out of the door and locking it.

  She enters the elevator that takes her to the basement of the building where she parked her car.
She unlocks it and places her coat and bag on the passenger side while switching on the radio, Celine Dion's call the man was playing and she immediately started singing along.

Stopping along the way ,she enters  a coffee shop near her workplace to get a plain black coffee for her boss and a latte for herself.

She arrives with 15 minutes to spare . If she were to give instructions,a person would not get lost since it could easily be considered the biggest building on the block. It was actually very hard to see the top floor and it was heavily guarded.
They were like three guards at the entrance and metal detectors .

She showed her identification card to the buff guards as she hurriedly entered the building .There were 3 elavators for the other employees and a private elevator for her boss which she could also use sometimes .

Entering it, she pressed the button for the top floor  patiently waiting for it to reach.
The door opened and you could see her desk against the wall immediately you stepped out the elevator
She put the two cups of coffee on her desk to remove her coat and place her bag on the desk.

Entering her boss's office,she places the hot black coffee on the desk plus the files she revised the previous night. She goes back to her desk and answers calls while also organizing the boss's schedule for the day. She notices that next week her boss will have to leave the country for business...he would be going to  South Korea to look for investors who would put money into the idea of building a new hospital in a downtown New York.

After a few minutes she hears the elevator ding indicating that a person had arrived. She looks towards it to see that her boss, Mr. Aiden Fernandez was finishing a call .

He was 6'4 ..a height she found very attractive as she was 5'8 .His hair was slicked away from his face with one small piece going astray and landing on his gorgeous forehead .He had ocean blue almond shaped eyes with a straight nose and full lips .

You could see that he worked out with the way the suit perfectly hugged  his body . He was dressed in a navy blue three piece suit with expensive Oxford shoes .

The whole outfit used more money than her monthly salary to buy. She knew this information as she was in charge of buying and preparing his daily outfits ....she literally set up the appointments with his personal designer and picked them u,  gave the designer his cheque , drove to Aiden's mansion and dropped them off.

Both men and women found the man attractive and Sierra was a member of the club.

To tell the truth,she had liked her boss since she was first accepted for the job and that was two years ago. She also had an inkling that he knew she liked him since he always acted like a gentleman when they were together, asked her to escort him to events and always allowed her to tag along on business trips.

I mean the guy had like three secretaries and he always managed to only ask her something that caused jealousy in the other secretaries...they hated on her and spread rumors that she was a slut who slept her way to the top.

This was one of the reasons why she had no friends and the other was that she was a very socially awkward person and it was hard for her to make them...just thinking of talking to someone her age makes her heart beat so fast...

She always wondered how she was able to attend business meetings and report to her boss and his colleagues but maybe it was the fact that work gave her a kind of fulfillment she could not explain ...she didn't really have anything going for her except her work so she always tried the best she could.

"Morning, Mr.Fernandez, " Sierra greeted with a smile but she only got a nod back .She really wasn't fazed by that as it was a normal way he greeted back and instead decided to go ahead and tell him his schedule for the day.

She listed out all the meetings he had as they walked to his office together. He sat at his desk and tasted the still hot coffee.

"Miss Greenwood, I suggest you pack your suitcase as soon as possible since you will be coming with me on my trip to South Korea," Aiden said.

"Yes sir...", Sierra answered .She already knew he would ask her but it always made her happy that he didn't change his mind and decide to ask one of the other secretaries.

She wanted to jump around but she contained her happiness and successfully closed her boss' door without squealing.
Her morning went by with her attending meetings with Aiden and answering calls.
Soon it was lunchtime and she decided to oder food for both her and Aiden.

The food would take a few minutes to arrive. She actually did not have to do it but she wanted to and also show her love and get a chance to eat with Aiden as he usually asked her to eat with him when she brought the  lunch.

Sierra would have gone to the cafeteria in the building but she wanted to avoid the glares and fights that would be started by the other secretaries and their minions.She couldn't really defend herself contrary to what people thought since  they saw her as the mean slut who does nothing but work and bully people under her due to the rumors that were spread around.

The food arrived pretty soon and she payed for it...it wasn't from those fancy restaurants where you pay a lot of money to just buy a small piece of food .

It was from a very low key restaurant that Aiden invested in since the food was really delicious and reminded of his childhood . Sierra wasn't sure of what exactly it was though.
She stood up and smoothed the wrinkles from her dress , took a mint, and redid her hair making sure there were no strays . She picked the takeaway boxes and knocked on the door..."Come in ," she heard.

Sierra entered and saw Aiden rubbing his temples due to stress from all the work she could see on the desk.
"Umm...sir, I bought lunch and was wondering if we could eat together...".He looked at her for a few seconds before nodding. Sierra wanted to smile but kept it in .Aiden was such a conservative person and liked to keep his personal space... personal ,she was really glad he accepted to eat with her.

Sierra placed his box in front of him and handed him the cutlery .She then sat on one of the comfy office chairs in front of his desk and started eating .

.They didn't exchange any small talk apart from him asking about the next meeting he had.
She kept stealing small glances at him and hopefully thought he noticed .
He thanked her for the lunch and went back to doing his work. She picked up the now empty boxes and carried them out. Although nothing much really happened,she was content with just being in the same space as him.

From there onwards, Sierra's day was pretty normal with her proofreading files , answering business calls and pretty soon it was time for her to clock out. She arranged the files she was taking home with her, and organized her table.
Knocking on Aiden's door, she opened and saw that he was also going home so they walked to the elevator together with Sierra noticing how gorgeous he looked in the dim lights of the elevator.

They reached the the reception where Sierra was getting off but Aiden was continuing to the basement where only his car could be parked there. Sierra was kind of sad but then thought of how she would see him tomorrow."Goodnight Mr. Fernandez," she said. He nodded back as the elevator doors closed and Sierra left the building to go to the parking for all the employees.

She entered her car and put on the radio where Mariah Carey's we belong together plays and her humming along while she drives home.
