I was driving my friend, Evangeline (or Eva as I call her) back to her apartment one chilly Tuesday night in November. She was playing the music of a band I hadn't heard of over the car speakers. The more I listened, the more I fell in love with their music.

When we got to her place, I asked her who the band was, and she introduced me to Emblem3. I fell in love with the music and the youngest backup singer in every music video we watched. "So Lea, what do you think of them?" Eva asked me, seeming to bounce up and down in the passenger seat.

Chuckling at her, I responded, "I really like their music. And they aren't too bad-looking either." She suddenly stopped bouncing and asked which one I was talking about. It seemed odd at the time, but still, I answered. "The backup with the earrings on the left."

She almost calmed down and then got bouncy again. "Ooo, you like Keaton!" I rolled my eyes. "No, I don't like him! I just think he's cute." Eva immediately got her phone out and mumbled under her breath, "I have to tell Drew this." I was confused because I had never heard her mention someone named Drew before.

"Who's Drew?" It was like I told her that I was gonna steal her phone away. She immediately held her phone close to her chest and looked at me, scared. "No-no one! He's nobody." I know my best friend, and I know when she's hiding something from me. "Oh? A nobody?" Eva started to blush. "I've never seen 'a nobody' make you blush like that." Her face was red at this point. "Who is he, Eva?"

It took her a few seconds to calm down and respond. "I promised not to tell anyone because of the paparazzi." Paparazzi? What is going on? My thoughts were interrupted by her continuing. "You remember me telling you about the guy I'm talking to in California?"

Is this going where I think it's going? "Yeah, why?" "So when I show you his picture, Azalea, please don't tell anyone about this." I had no clue what I was getting into when I answered her. But then again, I wouldn't change it for anything.

"I promise, Evangeline."
