She woke up, the light beaming through the thin white linen curtains that hung off a pale birch pole above the large window. The white sheets next to her rose and fell, a familiar scent drifting from the body. She smiled, shifting to be right beside him, gently kissing his lips, the feeling delicate to her, not wanting to wake him up. A warm arm wrapped behind her back and lured her closer into his bare chest, his sleeping face slowly blossoming into a tired smile, his glinting sapphire eyes meeting her subtle emerald ones. His palm rested against her slowly reddening cheek, his face only centimeters from hers. Their kiss would have connected if it wasn't for the hyper 5 year old that was their daughter came running in and jumping on the bed, sliding between them and hugging them both. They all collapsed into a hysterical bout of giggles and laughter, cuddling each other closely. It had been 7 years since they'd got married and it was the day of their anniversary. The bed shifted slightly as he got up, smiling before pulling on a discarded top and walking into the kitchen, the faint flick of the kettle heard and the clatter of mugs and tins as coffee was made. He returned moments later, holding two steaming mugs as the strong aroma embraced the bedroom, walking to her side of the bed and resting it down on the bedside table next to his, leaning over and kissing her, smiling down at her before returning to his side of the bed, picking up their daughter and smiling, spinning her round and collapsing back onto the bed, holding her close to his chest, kissing her cheek. She smiled, sitting up in bed, slipping her legs over the side of the bed and out from the covers, standing up and walking into the other room, searching her daughter's wardrobe, finding a bright pink princess dress, fairy wings, a tiara and a wand. Smiling to herself, she set them out carefully on the bed, picking up the few toys and books on the floor, returning them to their place, walking bare foot back into the bedroom and picking their daughter up off his chest, smiling and kissing her husband softly before taking off again back into the other room, getting the little girl changed.
