━━━━━━━━━━ "Chief-o" Owens says as  you and Hopper sit down across from him in a booth at a diner

"How's the leg?" Hopper asks him

"Better. Pretty sure my football career is over" Owens says making the three chuckle "Want some? No way i'm gonna finish it" he says pushing his sandwich forward

"No. I'm, uh, on a diet" Hopper says looking over at you slightly as you smile at him

"Well, you're a better man than me" Owens says

"I'll have some" you say grabbing the other half of the sandwich and taking a bite

"Hey, got a little something for you" Owens says pulling out two envelopes

Hopper grabs one of the envelops and opens it to see it's a birth certificate. Jane Hopper. It reads on it

"Congratulations, pops"

"I thought..."

"Sometimes i impress even myself" Owens tells him "Still, i'd let things cool off for a while, if i were you"

"How long is while?" Hopper asks him

"Want to be safe? I give it a year" Owens tells him

"A year?" you ask him and Hopper takes a bite of your half of the sandwich "What am i supposed to do from a year?"

"Well, you're different" Owens says to you and you give him a confused look "Look in the envelope" he tells hopper

Hopper the opens the second envelope to see it's another birth certificate.

Name: (y/n) Hopper

Born: 1966, 18 years old

Hopper reads it this time making him smile.

"What is it?" you ask Hopper and he hands you the envelope "Wait, are you serious?" you ask him

"At first it was just going to be, El. But when she brought you home, i couldn't separate the two of you again" Hopper tells you making you smile up at him

"Seeing as you are an adult and you left the lab years ago, they aren't really looking for you but i'll still keep a look out" Owens tells him

"What about one night?" you ask him "Tonight?"

"Tonight?" Owens asks you

"Yeah. How risky would that be?" Hopper asks him

"What's so important about tonight?" Owens asks the two of you

"You look gorgeous" you say looking down at your little sister outside the middle school

"I'm..." El struggles to find the word

"Nervous" you say and she looks at you confused "It means you are scared about what's going to happen"

"I'm nervous" El tells you

"Don't worry, he's going to fall in love even more" you tell her "Now get in there" you say and El wraps her arms around you

"Thank you" she says as you hug her back

"Of course" you say pulling away and you watch her walk inside

You then walk over towards the car park where you see Steve sitting in his car looking straight at you. You chuckle and walk over to him and bend down to look through his window.

"How did it go?" you ask him knowing he's here dropping Dustin off

"His hair looks like a birds nest" Steve tells you making you laugh "You hunger?" he asks

"Only always" you tell him

"Come on, let's get some food" Steve says with a smile and you get into the car

"Where to then?" you ask him as he starts to drive

"You'll see"
