"Girl, I am so jealous," Daina says as we sit on her bed, "he is so fucking cute."
"He's the guy I was telling you about too," I giggle as I throw myself back on her bed, "he's been coming to the cafe for like two weeks now and he always gives me those freaking gorgeous smiles."
"You are so lucky," she shakes my shoulders excitedly, "oh my god if you guys fuck, you have to tell me all about it!"
"Oh my god! It's one date!"
"You never know!"
We go into a fit of laughter as we lay beside each other atop her bed.
"Seriously though," she says once we come down from out fit, "I'm glad you finally found someone else, Chad was an ass."
"He was, wasn't he?" I scrunch up my nose, then think, "what if Loki expects me to have sex with him?"
"No. No. Nope. No," she sits up pointing her finger at me, "we are not doing this. You're not gonna start comparing him to that dickwad. He is handsome, charming, and a gentleman. He is nothing like Chad."
"Okay okay, you're right," I sigh, "Loki isn't Chad."
My phone dings from her dresser so I get up and grab it. A big smile slaps itself on my face as I look at who the text is from.
Loki:
Hello, Love, I'm looking forward to our evening. Might I pick you up at eight?I do a small happy squeal before I jump back onto the bed as reply.
Me:
Yeah, eight sounds perfect, I'll see you then"Ugh," Daina chuckles, "I needa get me a girl, you making me feel so single."
I laugh with her as we continue to chat and plan out an outfit for me to wear tonight.
Loki's POV
I sit with Thor in the common room of the tower, watching a Midgardian cartoon that he chose to put on."So what are you planning to do with Lady y/n tonight?" He asks suddenly.
"I'm taking her to dinner," I answer, "then perhaps a stroll. After that it's just wherever the night goes."
He hums in response, changing the channel.
It flickers with an image of y/n with the word missing under it for less than a second before going to another cartoon.
My spine goes ridgid as I look at Thor out of the corner of my eye.
He doesn't seem to have notice it at all as he continues to watch the storage show.
"I'm going to get something to drink," I get up and hurry down the hall to he kitchen.
Why was that on there? She isn't missing. She's still there. I never took her.
I lean over the sink, hands braced on the rim as I heave a breath.
She's still there. I'm going to see her tonight.
I'm going to do things right this time around.
I grab a glass from the cupboard and fill it with the tap before gulping down the entirety of the content.
"You okay, Reindeer Games?"
I turn to Stark who reaches for a glass of his own.
"Yes of course," I place the glass on the counter.
"Feeling guilty?"
"What?" My gaze snaps back to him.
"I asked if you were feeling nervous," he smiles at me, "y/n is quit a pretty girl."
"Oh um, yes," I fumble over my words a bit, "yes. A bit nervous."
He furrows his brow at me a bit but just shrugs and pours himself a glass of whiskey. I take the opportunity to leave without being further questioned.
First the television flicker then mishearing Stark. I'm going mad.
I depart to my quarters and take a few deep breaths.
"Strange is still fighting her father, she is still here, she's still under the protection of her mother, her sister can't get to her," I reassure myself as I look into the mirror.
I straighten my clothes and make sure my hair is neat before turning to exit my room.
"My my my, if it isn't Mr. Suave himself."
I stop dead in my tracks and turn slowly towards my bed.
Minsela sits on the edge of the mattress, legs crossed and a smirk on her lips.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, trying my hardest to keep my voice even.
"Well I wanted to come meet the dashing god that managed to snag my sister," she stands, "I'm Minsela, and no need for an introduction,I already know who you are, Loki."
She doesn't remember any of it. Thank the All Father.
"Hello," I don't make a move to shake her hand or display any formalities, "how did you get in here?"
"Well being half witch," she holds up her hand, displaying the dark whisps of her powers, her grin growing wider, "I have my ways."
"It's would appear you do," I nod, "if you'll excuse me, I have places to be."
"Ah yes, have to go make sure everything is in order with the world. The villain turned hero," she suddenly stands right in front of me, "oh how the mighty have fallen."
"I beg your pardon," I stand my ground.
"Wouldn't you rather be with someone more powerful?" She steps closer still, "someone that can help you finish what you started?"
I glare at her.
She really thinks I wanted the realm or that I would ever chose her.
"No," my voice is firm, "I don't."
I turn away from her and leave my room not wanting to hear any more of her nonsense.
How could she ever think I would chose her over y/n?
Oh hey look at that
I did a thing
