"You saw everything, didn't you?"

I gulped. His face was like, 2 inches away from me. But this is not the time to think about this. I have to save my life first.

"ANSWER ME!" he yelled.

"Y-yes," I shuttered.

"Aish. What should I do now? I don't want to kill an innocent passerby."

"You'll k-kill me?" I whispered, looking at him.

"What do you want?"

"N-not to d-die?" I answered.

"How can a person be so..." he sighed. Then his face came ever closer. His complexion was fair, but the blood and dust had made it dark. His eyes were sweet and his lips were—

Yujin. Come to your senses!

When I finally came to my right mind, I quickly spoke, "What if you don't kill me...and I'll ...why will you kill me?"

"Because loose mouths can get me a room in jail," he sarcastically made a face.

"Okay then, you don't kill me...and I'll not reveal to the people that you almost killed that old guy," I proposed as he looked at me.

"Fine...but if you don't live up to your words...I can do anything," he said and let me go.

"I promise I won't," I smiled at him. I walked away, but I could feel his eyes staring at me. I reached home, got inside, locked the door, and slid down the door.

What just happened? I'll never ever walk alone at night again. I sat on the floor, looking at the dark house. I hadn't even bothered to turn on the lights. I slowly felt heavy eyes and drifted away.

MORNING

I felt something cold on my body. I opened my eyes and almost freaked out. Was my house robbed? Why am I on the floor?! Then I remembered that I didn't go to bed last night. I looked at the time. It was 9 in the morning.

Let's have breakfast.

I went to the fridge and to my surprise, it was practically empty. I guess it's time for some shopping I suppose.

I went to my bedroom and changed into a pair of old blue jeans, and a black t-shirt. I tied a hoodie to my waist just in case it gets cold. Just as I picked up my wallet, my phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Yujin, my sister! COME OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW!!" My ears literally stopped working on how loud she shrieked.

I opened the door. "Kwan, what do you want?"

"Come, let's have a morning walk," Kwan smiled innocently at me, as if she hadn't been making me deaf. Since I already had to go out shopping I went with her.

"So...why did you not respond to my texts?" Kwan asked.

"You...sent me texts?"

"Yeah."

"When?"

"Yesterday night, pabo," she smacked my head.

"I fell asleep early yesterday," I replied.

"You always check your phone before going to bed. I'd already sent them by the time you reached home, I'm sure of it," Kwan insisted.

"Well, I didn't sleep in bed."

"Then where did you sleep? On the roof?" She sarcastically rolled her eyes.

"You don't have to know my personal life," I ended the conversation there. Because I knew that if I told her that I slept on the floor, she'll ask what happened and the real reason will slip out.
