Ileana's Home"The minister has invited us to dine with his family tonight, so I hope all of you will be there." Mr Dela Cruz says during breakfast to his family.
"Of course father, it would look bad if I miss a dinner hosted by my future in laws." Ailee beams surprising Ileana.
"So you're getting married in that family? As in you're marrying a Lopez? Don't they like have one son, what's his name again?" She says as she tries to remember the name of the guy.
"Matthew, that's his name. And yes I'm marrying a Lopez." Ailee smiles and Ileana couldn't help but to shake her head at how overly excited she is.
"You could also marry someone from a respectable family like the Lopez'." Her father mentions but of course Ileana will never agree to that.
"I do not want to get married, at least not any time soon. And besides, marrying into families like that could mean I will end up as a housewife and I don't want that." Ileana says making her father shake his head in disapproval.
Sometimes he actually wonders how she is his daughter but he never understood that she took after him. He was just as rebellious as she is now during his youth.
"You have no brains, what would be the need to work if your husband is rich as hell. I mean it's better to stay at home and just relax." Ailee says and Mrs Dela Cruz could actually feel an argument on the way.
"I do have brains, we just have different plans." Ileana responds.
"Well I think there's nothing wrong with being a housewife. I just feel it would be wise to do something on the side which doesn't require much travelling. You won't have to be too dependent on your husband." Ileana's mom says trying to be the mediator between the sisters.
"She's right, no wonder why I married this woman." Their father says and he shows that smile that his family gets to see once in a while.

The Lopez' Home (Prime Minister's house)
"Finally, we have been waiting for you and your family Mr Dela Cruz." The prime minister says as he welcomes them to his lavish mansion.
"Welcome to our house, it's nice to meet you all." Mrs Lopez says as she leads them to the dining room.
"Thank you for having us to your house. You have a lovely home." Ileana's mother responds to Mrs Lopez' kindness.
"Thank you and you have lovely daughters. They are really beautiful. I feel so lucky already." Mrs Lopez couldn't help but look at the two girls who are standing next to each other.
Ileana on the other side feels like she can cut off the straps of the dress she was forced to wear. She feels so uncomfortable in it that she wishes she didn't come in the first place.
Matthew comes down and he greets them all but took his time to talk more with the girls."You look lovely." He says to both of them. Ileana looks at him oddly but Ailee responds with a thank you and a sheepish smile.
"Stop embarrassing me infront of my future husband. Act polite would you?" Ailee whispers to Ileana through gritted teeth. Ileana rolls her eyes, she is not in the mood to entertain Ailee who is behaving like a love strucked hormonal teenager.
"Let's join them on the table, shall we?" Matthew finally asks when he realises the others have already sat around the dining table. The three of them take their sits. Ileana happens to find herself stuck between Ailee and Matthew. This makes her to further despise ever coming to the dinner in the first place.
