Chapter 27

Still angry at Severus I got up and started packing for the summer, I couldn't help but be disappointed at the fact that I was leaving before we had made up and felt scared worrying that our relationship had ended. Giving my dorm room one last look, I closed the door and walked down to the common room. "You ready to get home?" "Yeah" I sighed at Draco not wanting to leave Hogwarts. I loved Malfoy manor but Hogwarts always Felt like more of a home, especially now that I knew what was waiting for me back at the manor. We took a carriage down to Hogsmeade where like always Lucius was waiting for our arrival. "Hello children" he said formally causing a smirk to creep on both Draco and my faces as we said hello "How was school?" He asked giving Draco a light tap on the back "yeah it was alright" he answered awkwardly knowing that Lucius didn't like talking about Hogwarts. Nodding his head he grabbed both our hands and Apparated us back to Malfoy manor where two witches were awaiting our arrival.

As soon as we walked into the beautiful dark manor, we both got pulled into a tight hug by Narcissa who kissed both our heads "oh I missed you two" she whispered with tears in her eyes before getting interrupted "stop strangling my daughter cissy" said a voice that was quickly followed by a cackle behind Narcissa. Cissy rolled her eyes as I got yanked away from her into a tight hug "hello dear" Bella said quietly stroking my hair. I felt comfortable in her arms as though her affection has been missing from my life "hello" I whispered softly taking in her scent, it was intoxicating but comforting as I remembered the good parts of my childhood. "Come on let's have tea! I want to hear all about your school year" said Narcissa excitedly "oh Cissy don't be stupid!" Hissed Bella "they just got out of that pathetic excuse for a school! Don't force them to talk about it" Narcissa looked disappointed, I knew that she loved hearing about Hogwarts as she missed it dearly and couldn't help but feel guilty as I saw her smile fade 'I'll tell you at dinner' I mouthed to her earning a grateful smile in return. Feeling someone take my hand I got pulled away by Bella who was chuckling to herself "uhm where are we going" i asked still a little scared of the woman "for a walk" happily she walked me into the forest close to the manor, humming strangely to herself.

"you should be happy" she said staring at me with a smirk as we walked through the trees "you look just like me" she added making me laugh at her ego "what's so funny?" She said raising her voice making me laugh harder at her temper "nothing!" I giggled "I admire your confidence mum" it felt weird calling her that, she still seemed like a stranger. We sat down by a large oak tree leaning down on it, both of us were quite silent as I enjoyed the nature, listening to the birds sing cheerfully. "oh those damn birds." Said Bella angrily taking out her wand "Avada kedavra!" "MUM!" I shouted as the bird fell dead from the tree "What?" She asked closing her eyes peacefully "why did you kill it!" "It was annoying" she shrugged frustrating me "oh calm down sweetie. Its just little birdie" she chuckled again clearly amused. Falling silent I stared at the dead bird feeling guilty, I glanced over at Bella to see her smiling at me, her hair covering her face "what?" I asked confidently making her smirk amused "I missed you" she said finally, replacing her smirk with a genuine smile that you only rarely saw on her "I missed you too" I smiled thinking of all the years I spent without her. Even though I was angry at her for ditching me I secretly always wanted her back in my life.

After a while of chatting we went back to Malfoy manor, I walked up the gorgeous stair case and made my way to the room I always occupied when staying here. The room was definitely magnificent, the walls were light grey and the wooden floor was covered with a gorgeous black carpet that had green flowers painted on it. In the center of the room sat a large bed with dark green silk sheets and next to it, a fancy chair with a little table placed next to it. I sighed as I let myself flop on the bed staring at the room.

"Come in" I called putting down the book I was reading as someone interrupted me by knocking on the door. A little house elf creaked open my door peaking its little head inside "dinner is ready ma'am" it squeaked before turned around and leaving the room. Sighing I got changed into something more suitable for dinner and made my way down the stairs and into the dining room. I took my usual seat next to Draco before getting pulled back up onto my feet making me yelp in surprise "sit next to me" demanded Bellatrix walking to the other side of the table, giving Draco a quick glance I followed taking a seat next to her. As the food came I gladly told Narcissa all about the school year. Bella had a few rude comments about the school but mostly kept quiet "so tell me skye! Any boyfriends?" Asked Narcissa making my eyes widen as I thought of Severus. Bellatrix glared daggers at me awaiting my answer "oh no! Definitely not" I laughed nervously, "okay then" she smiled shooting me a wink while Bellatrix unclenched her fists. "Well- ouch" Narcissa hissed dropping her fork and holding her arm. Looking up from my plate confused to see what happened I saw Bella and Lucius holding their arms as well. While they all stared at each other worriedly i couldn't help but notice Bella have a glint of amusement in her eyes before staring at me and replacing it with pure worry. "get upstairs! both of you!" she hissed getting up off her seat
"wha-" "NOW!" She screamed, making me jump in my chair before getting up and walking out of the room hurriedly with Draco by my side.

Instead of us going into our separate bedrooms, we both walked into mine shutting the door quietly behind us "do you recon that was about you know who" Draco asked sitting on my bed as I paced around the room "yeah" I sighed "you're going to become a death eater aren't you" he asked staring at me sadly as I stopped pacing to look at him. Sadly I nodded watching as he stared down at the ground "I'll have to be one too soon" he mumbled quietly "how do you know?" I asked worried as I went to sit next to him "mum told me he mentioned it at the last meeting. Apparently he said he wanted to meet with me once I'm 16" "Merlin" I whispered at the thought of Draco becoming a death eater too. It was bad enough that I had to be one, but Draco? "It'll be alright" I said trying to comfort him "yeah, maybe" he sighed before smiling at me. Quickly the door opened making both of us shoot our heads over at Bellatrix who was standing in the door frame, the amused look from before had now definitely disappeared off her face as she looked at us sadly "the dark lord wishes to see you skye" she said in a bit over a whisper "what? Now?" I whisper shouted stressing myself out. I was unprepared which made me nervous as I looked at Draco for help. "Come" Bella said softly holding out her hand for me. Draco nodded at me to go as I got up taking her hand, allowing her to lead me to my Father.
