We Are Tied

(Gabby P.O.V)
I'm worried, was she hurt by that? There is no way that I can tell her that it was her who I was talking about. She doesn't see me in that way, she likes Abraham. This can't be the end after we just recently told each other that we would be together forever. I need to talk to her.

After school Gabby is walking over to Kane's house. A group of 3 people begin to surround her. She begins to walk faster as she is already close to Kane's house.
One turns her around. It is now clear to see that it is a group of men.

(Gabby P.O.V)
My hands are beginning to sweat. I'm scared, but not afraid. I look into the eyes of the man who is grabbing a hold of my shoulder.

Gabby - Try it and see what happens.

Man - What can a kid like you do?

Gabby crouches and turns kicking the guy's ankles causing him to tumble down.

Gabby - Don't underestimate me. Also, word of advice from a thirteen year old. Don't waste your life doing bad things and sulking, it won't make you feel any better.

Man groans in pain - Oh whatever, you brat.

After catching her breath, Gabby is now running to Kane's house hoping that she can cheer her up. She makes it and quickly knocks on the door. Gabby thinks' please answer'.

Kane opens the door looking down.

Kane - Hi what do you need?

Gabby - I'm sorry, can I please talk to you?

Kane feels bad about acting like this but she is genuinely upset that her best friend doesn't trust her.

Kane - okay but not for long.

Gabby walks in. They sit on the couch with a slight distance between them. Gabby starts to speak first.

Gabby - I'm sorry. I do trust you with all of my being. I just really found it awkward to mention it because I know that you will feel differently after knowing.

Kane - What could be so bad that you would think that I would turn away from you?

Gabby - The girl that I was talking about is you Kane.

The only emotion displayed on her face was unrecognizable. A mix of confusion, shock, and possibly happiness. Gabby could feel a cold chill fall on her face.

Kane - Um... Gabby-

Gabby - Please don't let this change anything. I just wanted to let you know because you said that we should tell each other everything. I was afraid that you would feel too awkward to keep being my best friend.

Kane - Gabby... Why would you ever think that that would make us part?
It can be awkward but it doesn't mean that I would stop being your best friend. We promised forever, remember?

Gabby felt so many emotions but the most important was relief.

Gabby - You really don't think this will change things?

Kane chuckles - well obviously it will change my view on something, but not negatively.

Gabby - Trust me, I have never hidden anything from you, and I don't plan on doing so.

Kane chuckles and says putting her finger up - I forbid it.

Gabby smirks - Of course.
