.Cajun sat on the couch next to the fire in her home. Thesnow storm beat down on her windows and gave the house dreary air. Besides the factthat she was alone , she was comfortable, it wasclose to Christmas. She hadn't had anyone to share it with, hadn'thad one for years in fact. She was 20 lived alone, worked as an editor for a large publishing company, no kids or boyfriend. She went out once in a blue but most of the time stayed home and worked. A large thump and a yelp made her jump. Sliding from the couch she walked towards the front door. Pulling it open she hid behind the door as the piled up snow blew into the foyer. A large snow cover dog layin the mist of it. Black, it looked like a wolf but the fur was too clean and kept for it to be. She pulled it inside and ran to geta blanket. Covering it she lifted it up and carried itto one of her spare bedrooms. She laid it down and removed the cover. The poor thing was panting and when she went to rub its fur her hand came back sticky and wet. The blood almost made her cringe but seeing worst when she was a student nurse she ran to the bathroom grabbing her first-aid kit she went to work cleaning the wound she found the dog had been shot and was losing a lotof blood. She whispered gently to him. Telling him it would be ok and she was going to help him. The dog growled but soon gave up to whines and pants. Shelooked at its face his eyes opened for a minor second shefound herself staring into a deep pool ofgold. She smiled gently and said Cajun: it'sgoing to be alright I'm going to take good care ofyou don't you worry. The dog growled again but then passed out hisonly sign of life was his breathing. She removed the bullet stitched the wound up and bandaged him up. After she cleaned the mess up, she covered the dog with the blanket again and went to bed the entire process had left her drained and tired she showered and fell on her bed into a deep sleep. She dreamed that she was running threw a forestshe felt that someone was chasing her and it onlymade her run faster. She realized that her body wasn't as it should be and that each ofher senses where completely different she smelled coffee and fire, instinct told her it was a placeshe could run and hide. She realized shewas running on four feetrather than two. She saw a house and ran towards it as soon as she reached the door shefelt a red hotsearing pain in her side she cried outand hit the door. Cajun sat up in her bed thebright morning sunlight beamed threw her window and she wiped the sweat from her brow. The dream was terrifying. Yet exciting she threw back the covers and climbed up out of her bed. She firstbrushed her teeth and hair then she crept slowly to her guest room slowly turning the knob she peered in and began to scream. The dog she had left there last night was gone in his place was a fully grown man naked in the bed sound asleep. Or he was until she had started screaming. His eyes flew open suddenly alert and he tore from the bed throwing her into the door he growled into her ear and puthishand over her mouth
Shawndrello: Stop screaming.
That didn't stop her itjust madeher tryand fighthim and scream louder. Suddenly agitated he slammed her onto thefloor. This time he leaned backto lookather and
said slowly.
Shawndrello: Please stop screaming my ears are sensitive to loud noise when I'm like this.
Cajun looked up at him fearing that he might try to kill her or worst.
Cajun: what do you want? I don'thave anything.
Shawndrello: I don't want anything and im not going to hurt you I just want you to stop screaming. If I let you go will you not fightme im harmless.
Cajun: You seem harmful enough. How did you get in here? Whyare you naked and where did you put that wounded dog I had resting here.
She threw each question athim getting louder and louder with each one.
Shawndrello: I wasthatdog how I got here I don'tknow. The last thing I remember I was in the forest.
