The Unknown - IV

" Mas bagay po kayo ni Gavin " Girl 1 said to us.
" Yea I prefer you with Gavin kaysa naman sa Audrey na iyon. She has an attitude and it's the bad kind " Girl 2 added. Then nag nod naman ng mabilis si Girl 1. Who are these people by the way? I don't actually know their names but they're faces are quite familiar to me. I'm not sure if sila yung isa sa mga madaming groups ng mga gossipers dito sa University na alam lahat ng mga issues na nangyayari and then they gossip it to people around the campus.

" But anyway, we need to go inside the Arena cause we're already - "
" 15 minutes late to be exact " singit ni Dina kay Anthony.

"Um Excuse Me?" Tanong naman ni Anthony.
" Ay sorry " tas yumoko na naman ng ulo si Dina. Gab rolled her eyes at them.

"Anyway thanks for the info girls  " sabay tingin naman ni Gab sa mga group of girls na hanggang ngayon ay nakatayo parin sa harap namin.

After how many seconds na naka stare lang si Gab sa kanila ay nakuha na din nila ang gusto niyang iparating which is to move out of the way because nakaharang parin sila sa dadaanan namin. Agad naman silang umalis and pumunta na sa side ng hallway at nag smile saamin.

We continued walking to the Arena to hear Tito Jacob's welcome speech for the new and old students here in Man DeLa.

As we go our way to the entrance of the Arena is nakita ko na ang pagtwist ng mga ulo ng mga tao doon sa loob para tignan kami. My group of friends which are Gab and Anthony, well including Dina nadin because she's one of my personal maids sa mansion and palagi namin siyang nakakasama at sinasama sa aming magpipinsan, we are one of the group of friends which is a very big deal here in the University, from the things we do to the way we look. Actually, Hindi lang naman kami ang group na inaabangan nila, kasama nadin ang group nina Gavin. Pero overall, our circle of friends are the same nagkakasama kami minsan especially if there are business events, party or gatherings, that's why we are usually called 'The Royalties' or 'The Elites' because lahat kami sa circle are either we are the next heirs of our family's filthy rich businesses or anak ng mga top and  most influential people in the Philippines or the whole Asia.

Kami lang talaga ang palaging nagkakasama nina Gab and Anthony, again including Dina.

Nag smile ako sa mga tao bilang pagbati na din ng 'Hello' sakanila while sina Gab ay wala lang. Diretcho lang ang tingin nila papunta sa chairs namin sa center front part of the Arena.

Papunta palang kami doon sa designated chairs for us ay nakita ko na si Gavin pero hindi siya nakatingin sa amin kundi nakatingin siya sa left side nya and he's smiling not because of our presence but because he is talking to a girl. My smile vanished at nagbalik na naman ang face ko sa resting bitch face.

" Ohmygod " sabay takip naman ng bibig si Gab.      " Is this really true or not? " tuloy na sabi niya.

" What? " tanong naman ni Anthony sabay tingin where Gab is looking. And bigla siyang tumahimik and then glanced at me and we continued walking instead.

Habang palapit kami sa front ay mas nakita ko kung talaga nga ba na yung girl na yun is the one that I am assuming to. And it's true. First time kong nag assume na naging totoo talaga.

I continued walking to my designated seat, and uupo na dapat ako but ...

" Eliza! Hi, long time no see " oh shoot. Nakita niya kami.

Nakatitig lang ako sakanya without smiling. Nakatitig lang talaga ako sakanya. Mag rereply na din sana ako ng biglang may nagsalita sa stadium.

" Greetings everyone. I'm Sir Jeremiah the Spokesperson of the Manchester DelaSantos University and I would like to greet everyone here a ... "

Hindi ko na tinuloy na pinakinggan ang sinasabi ng spokesperson and tumuloy nalang akong umupo sa upuan ko and I smiled nalang kay Audrey bago ko ginawa yun. And Audrey went back na din sa seat niya sa likod namin with her oh so innocent smile that is plastered on her face. Thankyou Mr. spokesperson for interrupting us.

Pagtingin ko sa likod namin ay nakita ko si Gavin na for the first time in history ay siyang nakatingin lang sakin with no any emotions present. His at it again with his usual cold handsome face. I stared back at him for a mere seconds. What? What did I do?

Iniwas ko nalang ang tingin ko sakanya dahil nahihiya ako instead tumingin nalang ako at his left side which is andoon si Alexander Montañosa na nakaupo at naka ngisi lang sa akin. He waved his hand at me and I smiled at him and went back to facing front and sitting properly with my cousins and Dina.

" And now let's welcome the President of the Board of Directors Mr. Jacob Santos -"

Ay oo nga pala, hindi pa pala tapos ang speech ni Mr. Spokesperson.
