Why?

"Wake up, sweetie. You need to get ready for your first day of preschool."

"But I don't want to go to school," Y/S/N said as he pouted.

"Why? I thought you liked school. Don't you like to read books?"

Your son looked down at his fingers and pouted even more. "It's not the same when I read if daddy isn't next to me..."

All you could do was sigh. Jinyoung can't possibly stay by Y/S/N at preschool considering he was so busy being an idol. He even left the house early just for work. You slowly sat down on his bed and stroked his cheek.

"I'm sorry, baby. How about this? When you come back from school, we can bake cookies as we wait for your daddy."

"Who said you needed to wait for me tonight?"

Both you and your son looked towards the door, shocked to see Jinyoung leaning against the door frame with a smile.

"DADDY!" Y/S/N shouted as he shot out of bed and ran to hug Jinyoung.

"Hey buddy! Why don't you go get ready and I'll bring you to school. I'll even ask if I can stay for a while," Jinyoung said as he ruffled through Y/S/N's hair. He nodded and bolted straight to the bathroom.

You let out a big sigh as you struggled to get off the child-sized bed. "I thought you left for the studio this morning," you questioned.

"I did but it was more like telling the guys that I won't be at the studio today since it's Y/S/N's first day of preschool. I wouldn't miss it for the world," he said with his signature smile that melted everyone's hearts.

"But I'm missing it instead," you pouted.

"Well the doctor told you to get more rest. Don't worry, I'll record as much as possible for you to watch. I'll even FaceTime you when we are there," Jinyoung said as he slowly snaked his arms around your rounded waist.

"Fine. But can I get a back massage when you get back. Our baby girl is killing me," you whined.

"Definitely! Anything for you," he smiled.
