After Neverland

Prologue

A/N- so this story takes place right after Neverland in the scene Neal is supposed to die, but doesn't, all is well in Storybrooke. Also, I want to say thank you so much for the support and your patience I love you so much!💕

"Oh," I say in barely a whisper, as I cup Neal's face in my hands, in the depths of the forest. "I-I'm just so glad you're okay." I kiss him gently over and over.

"Emma," Neal cries "every time we kiss, I fall in love with you all over again. I love you, Emma."

"I love you too." I squeeze his hand. "And I am never going to lose you again."

We kiss again, slowly and gently.

"I just love you so much." Neal starts to cry even more. " I would do anything for you, and I want you to know... Eleven years ago when I left you, it was the hardest thing I had to ever do. I did it for you. It's just, I know how badly you wanted a family, I wanted you to have them."

"Neal," I say through a fit of tears. "You are my family."

Neal kisses me all over. "Come on," he stands up "we should really go tell everyone your okay."

I grab his hand as he pulls me onto my feet.

"I think you mean that you're okay."

We walk out of the forest, reliving our past, laughing, crying, kissing.

"Let's grab a quick cup of cocoa before we go." Neal says as we pass by Granny's.

"Emma! Red squeals as we step through the glass doors, laughing. "How're you? I'm so glad you're here..." She paused, and as if just remembering she was a waitress Red asked "the usual?"

"Two please, Ruby." I tell her after a quick, comforting hug.

We take our seats and Neal stares out the window.

"I can show you around later, if you'd like." I sip my hot chocolate.

"Sure, I'd love that... Emma?"

I look up, concerned. What was wrong? Was he jealous of my kiss with Hook? A million thoughts run through my mind.

But instead all I say is:

"Yeah, Neal?"

"I want to move in together... And I think we should go look for a place later."

"Oh... Wow..."

"Oh," he looks down into his mug, as if looking for something to say. "Well if you don't want to-"

"No it's just..." I laugh. "I already just bought a place, I was going to ask you to move in."

"Really?" Neal asks in awe.

I nod, smiling.

"That's amazing! Well, let's go tell your parents everything, I'm sure they'll be glad to know you're safe.

I drain my mug. "Let's go."

We start walking down the street again, and I point around the town telling Neal everything.

"And here's the flat." I look at Neal. "Ready?"
He knocks on the door.

"Emma!" My mom cries in disbelief, hugging me. "Oh, I'm so glad you're okay! And- Neal! Oh, you too... Welcome back to the family, we missed you!"

Neal only smiles with a quick hug and a quiet "thank you" but he was so much happier.

"It's good to be back, is our son here?"

"Dad?" Henry pipes up, running to the door.

"Henry! Hey buddy!"

We all hug as a family, and Charming steps over to join the conversation.
