Crash Returns

As the roar of the crowd crescendos outside of his dressing room, Crash stares into the mirror contemplating the yellow star attached to his left cheek. This is the moment of truth after a stressful day. Looking on is his manager Quigsey who is joined by that interesting character he was introduced to on the tour bus.

"The moment of truth," Crash declares as the scene on the tour bus 24 hours earlier plays in his head.

They had been rumbling down the highway, the tour bus wheels churning, when Crash cried from the bathroom, "Quigsey! Look at this!"

Sprinting to the back of the bus, Quigsey immediately took notice of the object that had Crash so perturbed. Bursting from his left cheek was a prominent blemish well on its way to becoming a full-grown pimple!

"First show of my comeback tour and this happens," roared Crash!"

"We can fix this," Quigsey responds.

"How? The show is tomorrow night!"

Without wasting anytime for a response, Quigsey bolted to the front of the bus to direct the driver to the next exit. As they rolled into the parking lot of the retail establishment, Quigsey comforted Crash, who was still staring into the bathroom mirror."

"Why are we stopping," asked Crash?

Holding his palms up, Quigsey replied, "Stay here! I'll be right back!"

Several minutes later Quigsey returned to the bus with that yellow square dude – he introduced himself as Big Yellow. He declared he was from outer space and was here to help. Crash looked on in bewilderment. Where did Quigsey get this guy? How did he know him? So many questions. Crash shook his head to make sure he wasn't dreaming. This was getting really weird. What was in that drink he consumed earlier?

Crash looked at the yellow star being offered him; a Hydro-Star. Big Yellow instructed him to wash his face, apply it to his blemish and wait for the magic to happen.

With a large smile and a nod, Big Yellow added, "Leave it in place for a few hours. We'll take a look and go from there."

And now, here he was, at the venue dressing room. Gazing at his reflection with the yellow star firmly in place. The intimate crowd loudly expressing their desire for his presence.

Crash peels the Hydro-Star from his cheek, while Quigsey cheers him on!

"It worked, exclaims Crash!"

With a knowing smile and nod, Big Yellow responds, "My work is done here. Now, go do what you do."

With his guitar strapped over his shoulders, Crash confidently enters the stage, while his fans cheer his arrival. He sounds the first power chord and smiles as he observes Big Yellow's dive into the crowd's outstretched arms; body surfing his way to the back. Off to help the next star!
