Juliet's POV:
Sitting with the Gryffindor trio became a normal occurrence for the next week. By December 10th it already felt like we'd all known each other since first year. I felt accepted, it was a nice feeling.
Harry started to feel like the brother i never had, and Hermione a really really great friend. Me and her would talk for hours in the library while studying and it never got boring, i swear that girl knows everything.
Yesterday during a free period we had an hour long conversation about Communist-socialist values, and how misunderstood they are in the muggle world. Like her, i grew up with muggle parents, mostly. The first 3 years of my life were with my biological parents, but eventually they got sent to Azkaban, so i ended up with the Angels, which really wasn't a fitting name for their personalities, but i tolerate it, not like i have any other choice.
They weren't bad parents, just, not good at noticing very important things.
Ron, on the other hand, i'd gotten the closest with. Which feels like it should have been impossible because of how much Hermione and i hung out, but i spent my nights in the Gryffindor common room playing wizards chess with Ron. I spent my mornings at the Gryffindor table with him, discussing various things, usually when he started the conversation it was about food, but we both bonded over quidditch, which is what we talked about most.
I was a chaser on the Slytherin team, the only girl that's been on the team in 26 years. Most of the men in Slytherin sucked, the captains that were picked in the last 26 years were sexist, not that the one who put me on the team in 3rd year wasn't. It just made me work 4x harder then the others, because if these captains are gonna care about anything that's not superiority, it's gonna be winning, and if they can't win without me, what do you think they're gonna do.
I enjoyed their company, Zyler sat with us sometimes and Misa would come over and sit with Hermione and I in the library.
On another note, Slytherin had Transfiguration with the Gryffindor today, so when the four of us left breakfast together, we had the pleasure of going to the same classroom. When we got in and sat down, McGonagall strode through the center of the desks and stopped at the front.
"No need to get your books out today, I have something to announce."
Everyone's attention went to the front of the room, it was odd for her to tell us not to get out our books, she usually teaches throughout the entire period, she doesn't like to waste time.
"The Yule Ball is a traditional part of the Triwizard Tournament. It's held on Christmas day between the first and second task. It is, pretty much just what it says, a dance." She began, earning whispers from everyone to their friends, some excited some annoyed. "The dance is for fourth years and up, however you can invite a younger student if you please. This is a.. erm.. chance to let your hair down, but that doesn't mean you aren't expected to act maturely, and represent our school well, understood?"
The whole class nodded and muttered agreements, i personally was excited, i really didn't know who i'd want to go with though. Not Malfoy, that's for sure.
"I suppose i'll... dismiss you early, i can see you're all eager to talk to your friends about this."
McGonagall letting out early? Honestly, i feel like that's unheard of. Nevertheless, i put my bag over my shoulder and got up.
   "A dance?" Ron groaned.
Both him and Harry made faces at each other, obviously both very unhappy about this.
"Oh lighten up, it'll be fun." Hermione smiled, picking up her bag as well to walk out with us.
"I agree with Hermione." I chimed in, "It'll be fun, the hardest part will be figuring out who to go with i suppose."
Harry frowned, "I didn't even think about that. I'll have to find someone to go, won't I?"
"You can ask Cho, it's obvious you have a crush on her." Hermione suggested.
"Shut up." Harry huffed.
If they really didn't wanna go through the trouble of asking, i really don't see why they didn't just ask me and Hermione then and there, but alas, boys are stupid.

It had only been a week since the ball was announced, and everything at Hogwarts was already chaos. I suppose they only gave us 15 days to find a date, but i feel like that is a decent amount of time. I'd been asked by quite a few people, none of which i wanted to go with. The worst of them included Draco Malfoy, Goyle for some reason, Marcus Flint who's literally a seventh year, and Theo Nott, who was cute, but not really my type. Not that i really had a specific type, but, asshat isn't in the description if i did.
Hermione on the other hand had been asked and said yes, by none other then Viktor Krum. We both agreed it was best not to tell Ron and Harry that though.
We sat together in the library as usual, this time talking about the French revolution while studying for charms.
"Marie Antionette never actually said let them eat cake, did you know that?"
Hermione and i both turn around to see a brunette boy reading on his own, from his accent i was pretty sure he went to Beauxbatons.
"Yeah." I smiled, "I actually did know that, which is really cool because it's one things she's known for, but it's not even true."
"Do you know lots about the French Revolution?* He asked, coming to sit opposite of me at the table me and Hermione were sitting. "Im Thomas, by the way."
I nod, "Juliet. I found it quite interesting as a child, along with greek mythology. It always gave me something to do."
"I know we've just met and all, but.." He paused, giving me a little grin, "Would you want to go to the Yule Ball with me?"
He was right, we had just met, but he seemed very nice, and was definitely better then the others who has asked. Besides, there were only 8 days left, what were the odds of someone else asking me.
"I'd love to go with you Thomas."
"Great." He grinned, "We can meet in the entrance hall at 7:45?"
"Sounds great."
"Perfect, i'll see you there... Juliet."
He winked and walked out of the library, leaving me low key speechless.
"Jules. What. Was that." Hermione stared, eyes wide.
"I have absolutely no clue Hermione. But i think i've fallen in love."

AN: Can't Blame Juliet, i imagine Thomas looking like a mix of Timothy Chalamet and Harry styles. Yes i'm bisexual how'd you know?
