Chapter 14

Nobody's POV:

Ran got out of the car after finishing his cigarette and went to the other side to carry Y/N. "Mmm you smell so good" she mumbled in her sleep. He chuckled at her cuteness and carried her all the way the elevator ride to the top floor.

Ran stepped out of the elevator to be greeted by his fellow members on his personal floor "well well well" Sanzu smirked "somebody had a very fun car ride" he said patting Y/N's head "yeah the car wasn't the only thing was was riding" Kakucho said obviously annoyed "shut up you guys are annoying and mind your business" he rolled his eyes carrying Y/N to his room. "Hard to mind our business when the whole car is shaking~" Koko teased Ran clicked his tongue and closed his door behind him. Ran undressed Y/N and put her into something more suitable to sleep in, he smiled at her and kissed her forehead before joining his friends in his living room.

"How long are you guys going to stay here" he said, he saw Rindou passed out on the couch with funny drawings on his face he picked up the permanent marker and added his own drawing as well before laughing and taking a picture on his phone. "Ahhh ahhh Ran!" Sanzu teased in his chair Koko was hovering over Sanzu "uhhh Y/N I'm cumming" he mocked. Ran threw a pillow at the both of them who were getting a kick out of the whole thing. "You made me lose $100 this time Ran that's $150 in total!" Koko complained, "stop betting on my sex life then!" Ran said flustered.

"Why are you guys so intrusive" he sighed taking a cigarette out from his pack. "What are friends for" Mikey cooed wrapping an arm around Ran, Ran shrugged Mikey's arm off. "In all seriousness though" Mikey said his voice changing to a more stern tone making all the boys stiffen "what are your intentions with Y/N. Because if you're planning on using her I will personally strangle you" he said his eyes were tunnel visioned on Ran "I like her, I can see a future with her" he said drawing a puff from his cigarette "then be honest with her you can't keep your duties a secret from her. At the end of the day you are a member on Bonten don't let her distract you from that" Mikey said "yeah yeah I will tell her eventually" Ran said his voice growing quieter. How was he suppose to tell Y/N that he just casually kills people from time to time and that he enjoyed it, he was scared that she would see the true monster inside of him that always came out when he got the thrill of putting a bullet through somebody's head. The excitement that ran through his veins every bruise his baton left on somebody's skin, he was scared to reveal what he really was. He knew she was too good for him, too pure and innocent. In his eyes Y/N was the light that led him out of his own darkness.

He was scared that Y/N would leave him just as she left him.

The next morning came and Y/N woke up groggy from her night out, her legs were sore as hell and she blushed at the memories of what her and Ran did last night there's no way they didn't see or hear us she said covering her face from embarrassment.

She looked to her right and saw Ran peacefully sleeping she found her lips automatically curling upwards at the sight of the handsome man looking so cute and vulnerable in his sleep. Ran's eyes suddenly fluttered open surprising her, "good morning" he groaned "good morning" she chimed back Ran wrapped his arm around Y/N forcing her to lay back down and cuddle with him "5 minutes just let me stay like this for 5 more minutes" he murmured with his eyes closed, Y/N shut her eyes and drifted off back to sleep wrapped in the warmth of Ran's arms.

She woke up again and looked at the digital clock that read 10:17am, Ran was no longer present near her she furrowed her eyebrows and got up out of bed going to his bathroom to do her morning routine.

After her morning routine she walked downstairs to see Ran cooking some rice porridge "ahh you're finally awake" he said focusing on the food that was on the hot stove "breakfast is almost ready" he chimed. He looked over and saw Y/N wearing his clothes which were way too big on her. "It smells good" she smiled taking a seat at the table, "Ran I'm going to go back home today my apartment is probably so dusty and I haven't even taken the trash out yet" she said "mmm" he hummed "I'll take you back home I have some business I need to attend to all day today anyways" he said placing pieces of bacon and an egg on top of her bowl of porridge.

Y/N chuckled at Ran who was wearing an apron and cooking breakfast "what's so funny?" He said turning around still holding the frying pan and spatula in his hand "you look like a housewife" Y/N giggled Ran furrowed his brows "gee thanks" he sarcastically said making Y/N chuckle again "but I did tell you I can take care of you didn't I? I'm just trying to prove my point" he said his back now facing Y/N. Her face flushed red at his gentle words, unusual coming from a big shot mafia like Ran Haitani. Who would of known that Ran could be so sweet and caring? It definitely wasn't expected from somebody like Ran.

They both finished breakfast and were on the road to Y/N's apartment. Ran had already memorized how to get to Y/N's apartment from the first time he had taken her home.

"I don't know how you memorized how to get to my apartment already, are you secretly stalking me?" She joked Ran laughed "maybe I am" he joked back. They reached her apartment complex and Ran parked his car momentarily to say goodbye "goodbye Y/N don't miss me too much today" he coped giving her a quick kiss "more like you'll miss me" she said rolling her eyes he laughed lightly "I probably will, I'll text you when I'm finished" he smiled "I'll be waiting" she said. Ran waited until Y/N was inside her apartment to ensure she was safe before heading off to his 'business' meetings.

"Man it stinks in here" Y/N said pinching her nose she tied up her hair and took out her trash. She quickly dusted and swept her apartment to kill some time. "Hmmm he only left 45 minutes ago and I'm already bored" she frowned checking her phone to see no new text messages. She no longer had a job since Ran impulsively bought out the cafe she worked at and she was certain that he would gladly do it again whenever she had work and he wanted to spend some time with her so she laid back on her couch and flipped through the TV channels to kill time.

"I've got some news" Mikey said at the meeting table everybody's eyebrows raised waiting to hear Mikey's news "the person who was trying to infiltrate Bonten is Izana" he said furrowing his eyebrows. "Huh?? Why is he back" Sanzu said clearly pissed off Mikey shook his head "I don't know why he's back or when he came back but I do know that it was Izana I did some thinking last night and the only person who can get this close to Bonten was him" he said "I traced a phone call from one of the traitors phones back to the Philippines so I'm most certain it's him" Mikey said "so what do you want to do about it" Rindou said crossing his arms "everybody stay alert and Ran" he called to Ran across the table who raised his eyebrow, "make sure that Y/N is safe. Everybody here at this table make sure that you check in on your family and loved ones. I don't know what Izana is plotting but I do know that if he can't touch us he will find a way to get to us through somebody we care about". Mikey's words strung deep into Ran's mind.
