I couldn't wait. My annual party was around the corner. We held it at my dads large mansion in the rural area of New York. If that wasn't the buzz of cover girl magazine, what was? The famous super model (or soon to be), Jessie Smith, throwing a party, was a treat to must be seen by the common poor folk. Jess's heart fluttered at the thought while she walked into school. He held a handful of invitations for everyone at the school that she wanted to have come.
"Cupcake dance! This Saturday, show up or be remembered as the brownie of the grade!"
I spoke loudly.
"Ah, here Christie, hand these out!"
I say cheerfully while pushing the envelopes into the middle class helper. I leave Christie behind and strut along the hall ways to class, with my gang close behind. But who should I run into? The hard cookie, burnt cupcake, or better known as, Eliza.
"Oh Eliza! I didn't see you were walking here!"
I put on the fake smile and she does the same. We do a quick French kiss greeting and she looks at me with her cute but mean pouty face.
"Oh dear, it seems Christie didn't have my invitation to the cupcake dance, hmm?"
I smile a raise an eyebrow.
"Oops! Must of left it home, in a shredder! It looks like you don't have one!"
I tell her, in a perky tone. But in all groups, there was a stupid one, and that one had to be Vanessa.
"Oh look! I can just splint mind!"
Vanessa squeaks. She grabs her invitation and tears it in half, giving one half to Eliza.
"Great!"
I say sarcastically.
"Fun! I can come to the party! I do hope it's fun because you know, a party can ruin someone's life and reputation just like that!"
She snaps her fingers.
"Just like that. Now we don't want, do we? I'll see you at the party, Jess."
She says to me perky, but her eyes showed an evil glare. Oh Vanessa, why did u give her that invitation?
