chapter one

It was a late night for the district attorney office, Mike knew he had a mountain of paperwork to do before the trial starts tomorrow, he decided to stay late and finish the paperwork, he let connie go at 6pm or so he thought.

" no that's great sit down and start work, and let's eat as we work " says Mike offering Connie a seat on the couch beside him.
Connie takes a seat and the two eat and work .

an hour and a half later, mike and Connie had finished the paperwork for the current case they are working on, since the trial starts tomorrow the paperwork needed to be done, mike looks at the time.

"Connie thanks for the help tonight you know you didn't have to come back and help" says mike.

"well look if I didn't come and help what time would you be here till finishing the paperwork" answers Connie.

"ok great point thank you, and you did bring my favourite food so I couldn't pass up on the food either, so as a thank you for the food and the help on the paperwork, why don't I give you a lift home" offers mike.

"thank you and I will let you since we have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow" answers Connie

"great lets go then" says mike getting up from his seat and grabbing his bag and coat whilst Connie did the same.

the two walk out of the office and to the lift, they get on the lift and down to the ground floor, they exit the building and head to mike car, mike started being the gentlemen he held the door open for Connie, he lead Connie to his car since he knew she came to work on the train, he opened the door and she got in the passenger seat, he closed the door and went to the driver side and got in and started the car and soon the two here off to home.

twenty minutes later

mike pulls up outside Connie building, he stops the car and waits for her to get out of the car.

"do you want to come up for a coffee" asks Connie?

"err yeah why not, I can be a gentlemen and walk you into the building and make sure you get in the door okay" answers Mike.

mike and Connie exit the car, Connie walks to the building with mike following her, soon the two where in the building, they get in the lift and head to Connie apartment, inside mike walks in looking around taking in his surroundings trying to find out a few secrets Connie has hidden away in her closet.

" here is your coffee Mike" says  connie handing him the  cup.
Mike takes the cup and  the  two walk to the  couch and  sit down.
Mike  and  connie  start talking  about  one another and  how they ended up becoming lawyers and what they  want  later in life.

Twenty minutes into the conversation  Mike had stopped talking  he just listened to connie, staring at her but then she stops talking  realizing that he is looking at  her.
" what's the matter Mike  why you staring at me" asks  connie?

" sorry  but I'm going to be honest with you,ever since I started working  with you I can't  stop having these feelings  for  you, connie I am falling in love with you" says  Mike  confessing his love  for  connie.
"Oh right  well my feeling for you are the same, I like  you  but we work  together  and  I don't  think  we should  start anything because  I  don't think we could  stop" explains  connie.

" your right we shouldnt" answers Mike.

As connie  sat reeling from  his sudden outburst, she  is  shocked  when  he throws  himself at her and  plants his lips on hers, instead of pushing him away she kisses  him  back, for  her the  kiss felt passionate, the two pull apart but connie cant get rid of her  feelings for mike and  know  she forget what she just told  him about not starting a relationship, instead she  plants her lips  on  Mike  and  starts  kissing  him.
