Chapter 29

Bella and I grew very close over the course of 8 weeks. To prepare me for being a death eater we would practice spells every day. Wanting to properly prepare me for what the dark lord was capable of, she didn't hesitate to throw the Cruciatus curse at me. The first time she was shocked to see that it hadn't affected me but soon enough she would torture me until I couldn't stay strong anymore and screamed in pain. I was getting better and better at holding in my pain as she trained me and was learning more and more spells by the day. I hadn't seen Severus or the dark lord since the day I had become a death eater several weeks ago. Unfortunately Draco couldn't say the same, Draco was forced to become a death eater soon after myself and got given a dreadful job by Voldemort a job that was cruel to put on a 16 year old boy, murdering Dumbledore. Bellatrix insisted that Draco should be honored that Voldemort trusted him with such a thing, but poor Narcissa was terrified as was Draco. No matter how much he denied it. I hadn't forgot about the fight Sev and I had had, and wasn't sure wether we were still a 'thing' or not especially now that he knew I was a death eater. "Goodbye deary" Bella whispered hugging me tight as I got ready to Apparate with Lucius and Draco. "If you need me or anyone at that pathetic school gives you trouble write to me." She said clearly smirking at the thought or killing someone for bothering me. "I will" I chuckled. "Alright, bye love you" I said hesitantly realizing that I hadn't said that to her since I was about 3 years old. She looked slightly taken aback before smiling at me, "I love you to, my little devil" her eyes were now filled with love as she looked at me, not leaving a trace of her deranged side in them. I took one last look at the manor before taking Lucius' outstretched arm and Apparating away to kings cross station.

I got on the train with Draco, after saying our goodbyes to his father. Joining jade and Aylin who jumped as they saw us, I Lay down in my seat relaxed before almost immediately springing back up again "fuck" I whispered realizing that Bella had forgot to teach me one very important thing about being a death eater, Apparation. "What's wrong" asked Draco confused as I pinched the bridge if my nose "mum forgot to teach me how to Apparate! What Am I gonna do when he calls?" I whispered quietly so that jade and Aylin, who were deep in conversation, wouldn't hear. "Don't worry you can send her an owl tonight. We'll find a way" nodding I leaned back down but couldn't help and worry about it throughout the train ride.

After what felt like an eternity we got there, i felt a wave of relief hit me as i saw the familiar castle from the station and couldn't wait to get to bed. I rushed through the feast desperate to get to my dorm and write to Bella as I was still stressing about the fact that I had no idea how to Apparate. During the feast I tried my best to avoid Severus' gaze that felt like it was fixated on me making me feel uncomfortably aware of myself. Relieved that Dumbledore had finally stopped talking I got up and rushed to my dorm where I quickly wrote a letter to Bella intending to send it before the others came to bed. Quickly tying it to Billies leg I gave her some bird seeds from the jar and watched as she soared off into the distance. Feeling a huge weight lift off my chest I got ready for bed and quickly fell into a dreamless sleep.

"Merlin Skye! WAKE UP" I heard someone yell while being shaken awake "whyyyyy" I whined at Jade "oh I don't know skye maybe because we have bloody classes! now get up" groaning I rolled out of bed and got ready tiredly. Being forced to miss breakfast because of my tardiness I head to my first lesson. Throughout the day I couldn't help but keep a firm grip on my sleeve terrified that anyone would see the mark. "Are you alright? You seem off" Draco asked as we walked towards potions. I had been dreading seeing sev all day and felt a huge stone in my stomach as the door got closer. "Oh yeah just tired, first day you know" Draco looked unconvinced but nodded anyhow as we walked into the classroom.

Keeping my head held down avoiding the gaze of the man sat in front of me, I took my usual seat next to Draco. "Today we will be brewing Hair-Raising potion" His cold voice echoed trough the classroom sending shivers down my spine. Slowly I got up and walked to the shelf making sure to 'accidentally' walk into Harry on the way making him trip into the desk "you should watch where your going potter, next time you may break something" I spat bitchily at him earning an amused snigger from Draco and a death glare from Harry who was to my success out of comebacks. Still avoiding Severus' gaze I got my ingredients and got to brewing, it was an easy potion but my mind was somewhere else which came to an inconvenience as I added to many rat-tails. "Damn it" I sighed flipping through my book for a way to fix it. "Is there a problem Miss Forbes?" My breath hitched, "no sir, no problem" I answered finally looking up into his sad eyes "well then do you care to explain why your potion is yellow instead of green" he tilted his head at me making me purse my lips from frustration "I just added to many rat-tails but I'm sure I can fix it" giving me a quick grunt he proceeded back to his desk and went straight back to grading his papers. And judging by the look on his face that student would not be to happy with their results.
