Chapter 21: Queen of Hearts

Flashback

A man dressed in a cloak walked up the stairs leading to a tower in the Dark Palace. When he reached the top he encountered a Black Knight, "Halt,"  The Black Knight said.

"Food for the prisoner," The man said as he showed the guard a pail with some food.

"It's not mealtime. Who are you?! Identify yourself, slave!" The Black Knight said as another 

Suddenly the man in the coak stabbed the Black Knight with his hook and killed the other Black Knight then he removed his hood, revealing his identity - Captain Hook.

"Slave? I prefer Captain," Captain Hook said as he took the keys from the dead knight.

Captain Hook walked over to the door of the tower cell, he unlocked the door and entered the cell. Callie and Belle were locked inside and when the door opened they sat up suddenly as Captain Hook walked inside.

"Hi. You must be Callie," Captain Hook said as he looked at Callie.

"The Queen sent you, didn't she? She wants you to kill me," Callie questioned.

"I'm not here to kill you, love. I'm here to rescue you... Both of you," Captain Hook said.

"Rescue us? Who are you?" Belle asked.

Captain Hook began to unchain Callie, "A friend. We haven't much time," He helped her up, "Your father's life is in danger. He's being attacked by the very same monster who stole you away from your family in the first place," Captain Hook said.

Callie chuckled softly, "What? Rumpelstiltskin and Priscilla?" Callie asked.

"Priscilla... She escaped her father, she ran far and she ran fast," He shook his head slowly, "The Dark One he must be stopped and Priscilla and her children are too afraid to fight him. You spent more time with him than anyone else. There are rumours of a magical weapon that has the power to kill him," Captain Hook said.

"No, no, no, no. Let me talk to him. He's not a monster... Priscilla and her kids would never run from him, if anything I would help her face him, to talk to him if he didn't listen to her," Callie said.

"Callie, your father's life hangs in the balance. I need to know what that weapon is and where to find it," Captain Hook said.

"I don't know what you're talking about, and I have no idea how to kill Rumpelstiltskin," Callie said.

"You don't?" Captain Hook asked.

"No. And nor would I. His power and magic is who he is, anyone who tries to use that against him is no better than the monster they make out he is," Callie said.

"Hmm. Then I'm afraid I'm not here to rescue you or your sister," Captain Hook said and he smacked her hard across the face, knocking her unconscious.
