When HYDRA fell and your dad was killed you ran. You ran away from everything. It wasn't safe for you, Alexander Pierce's, daughter to be anywhere near the Avengers.
You'd quickly ran from New York. After that, all around the country. Until, you ended up in Bucharest. Hiding from the Avengers seemed to be easier than expected.
"Don't come down stairs for a while. I have someone coming to see me." Your father stood in your doorway and told you. You nodded your head and closed your book.
"One of your co-workers?" You looked up and asked.
Alexander took a deep breath and nodded his head "Yes. We'll be discussing something important so stay in here for a while, ok?"
"Ok dad." You smiled and looked back down to your book.
"I love you, honey." Alexander smiled.
You look up from your book one more time with a smile. "I know dad, I love you too."
Your apartment wasn't much. Small, run down, perfect for hiding. The building was in a small, quiet town, small shops and markets all around. Overall, a good temporary home.
You knew you shouldn't go down there. Your father told you, "stay here." you should be waiting until he says you can come out. But you couldn't help it. So what if you got a little bit curious?
"Want some milk?" Your father asked, tauntingly. Peeking in the kitchen, you saw a mam sitting at the table, motionless. In the moonlight you could see the glint of metal, his arm. You felt a sick feeling in your stomach.
They - your father - continued to talk for several more minutes. That was until your house keeper, Renata, walked in.
"Sir - Mr. Pierce, I-I forgot my.. phone." She said, eyes casting to the strange man and then back to your father.
"Oh Renata, I wish you would've knocked." Your father raised the gun in the direction towards the housekeeper and shot. A small gasp left your mouth, making you cover it with your hand as tears filled your eyes. You turned back to the kitchen, making eye contact with the man.
His blue eyes stared you down. Taking a deep breath, he turned his eyes back to your father and away from you. Taking a deep breath to re-collect yourself, you made your way back up to your room.
The memory ran through your head, despite how much you tried to forget it. You took a deep breath, shaking your head and clearing your mind, walking across the street to your apartment complex.
The items in the plastic bag gangled as you walked up the stairs. You made a habit of it, to make make sure the floor was clear before making sure the apartment was.
After looking both ways, you stepped over through the doorway and made your way to your apartment. Cracking open the door, the energy in the room didn't feel right. Someone was in your apartment.

Steve and Natasha waited in your apartment for you to return. When the door had cracked open, Captain America looked to Black Widow.
"Stay down." Your guns were pointed at each other as you breathed quickly. "No one has to get hurt, just come with us and this won't end it a fight."
"It always ends in a fight." You said, shooting to cause a distraction and running.
"Stark!" Steve yelled into the ear piece, running after you. It was like every Avenger was here to get you, you were dodging them left and right until you felt someone grab your arm.
"Stand. Down." Iron Mans voice rang from behind you as the other Avengers surrounded. Iron Man held both your arms, you struggled against him. "Maximoff, now."
A red headed girl, The Scarlet Witch, stepped in front of you, her red magic swirling in her hands as she approached you. You backed against Iron Man as her magic surrounded you. The last thing you saw was black.
The next morning you sat in the same chair that he had. You sat there, stunned. You couldn't look your own father in the eyes after last night.
"Whats wrong, honey." Alexander asked as he took a bite of his toast. You took a deep breath and put on a fake smile.
"I'm fine dad, just not hungry." You slowly stood from the chair and pushed it back in. "I'm gonna go lay down again. I'm still kinda tired."
"Ok hon. I'll be off to work to soon." That sick feeling came back and you nodded your head. "Ok, I'll see you when you get home."
Alexander took a sip from his glass of milk. "Ok hon. I love you." He said as you walked towards the stairs.
"I know dad, love you too."
