"Move, Olivia! Please!" I yelled. I felt like I was about to break down too. My mind suddenly drifted to Ella and her warm brown eyes and her soft voice. I groaned.
"T-Tim? Are you okay?" Her voice was weak.
"Yes! Are you?" I replied. I tried pushing with all my weight on the door, hoping I could use it to slide her out of the way. It was working, but the gap wasn't big enough yet.
And then she let out another moan, loud and urgent. I stopped pushing but opened the door to its full capacity, and started slipping myself through.
Halfway through, a knock came on the door. I ignored it and wiggled one last time.
I got inside and spun to look at Olivia, curled in a ball in the corner of the bathtub and the door. I crouched diwn in front of her and kissed her hair.
It was wet. I ran my hands up her legs, and they were damp as well. There was a puddle of water underneath her, and I realised the bath had been run.
"Hello?" A familiar voice called from out the front, frustrating me.
"Go away!" I yelled, but then thought better if it. "Or call the ambulance!"
Olivia threw her head back against the edge of the bathtub, elongating her neck beautifully. I kissed along it gently and put a head beneath her head.
"What hurts, baby?" I whispered next to her ear. She shivered, and I held her closer.
She jumped when I touched her right arm. "My shoulder... I fell."
I breathed a sigh of relief. "At least it isn't the baby."
She groaned. "I'm exhausted."
I sighed. "Me too."
