Present time / 8 months after the incident
"Alright, congratulations on making it through your first year, but the real work starts now." The now class 2A had just finished settling into their new classroom, which to be honest felt no different from their old one. It was exactly above their old class and had an identical layout, but the feeling that came with it was more intense, demanding and expecting auras flowed throughout.
Their homeroom teacher, luckily for them, remained the same, and not that he would admit it but their sleep addicted teacher was glad to be watching their progress.
"Now that the entire class has gotten their provisional licences and have some level of experience in hero work through internships, it has been decided that you will be assisting in an important mission-"
"WAIT- seriously?!"
"Oh shittt, that was so fast."
"They clearly love us, I mean were practically famo-"
Conversation quickly struck as the students started to stand and celebrate their quick new debuts to a mission. Overjoyed, excited and nervous energy bouncing off them.
"QUIET." The class instantly quieted, and the tired teacher sighed all to use to their behaviour. "This mission isn't going to be like your previous internships, this is a massive step up. I need everyone to approach this carefully and professionally or you will be removed." the class slightly tensed up, how serious was this first mission going to be?
The teacher started to display some type of powerpoint presentation to the class, further explaining in detail.
"You will not be the only ones assisting, pro heroes, sidekicks and a mystery group will also be assisting this mission." The board showed 4 columns of names, one of which consisted of the students of 2A, a list of the pro heroes and their quirks and the sidekicks.
The last column however only had a title. Team Alpha.
The students stared at the column confused and curious about this unknown group that would be joining them. But if they were a part of the mission, they had to be good right?
"Who the fuck is team alpha?" The angry blonde asked the question the class had all been pondering.
And for the millionth time this morning their homeroom teacher sighed, "first language, second," the teacher looked from his students to the empty column, he didn't have the greatest feeling about this unknown team, to be honest there wasn't any feeling there at all, and that's what confused him. "I've never heard of this team either." the class seemed shocked at his response, eraserhead had a lot more knowledge of the heroine world than most people, with his connections and underground work.
"If we don't know who we're working with, how will we plan?" The gorgeous ravenette spoke from the back of the class, planning was an important part of the mission, Momo along with the rest of the class knew this. Working with unknown allies did make the class more on edge.
"Don't worry, you will be meeting the entire mission team prior to the day, several meetings and training exercises will be permitted in order to work out which is the best way to approach this situation." Aizawa then swiped onto the next slide. "Now the mission."
Chisaki Kai
A/N: (for anyone confused this arc hasn't happened yet, along with most things following and after it - however the internships and work studies did.)
"About 3 weeks ago a little girl had been spotted covered in bandages and looking extremely scared. A man believed to be Chisaki Kai has claimed to be her father and currently has possession over her. Through further investigation it has been brought to our intention that he has been using the child and harming her." A photo of the young girl was displayed on the screen, it was a screen shot from the street camera footage in the area the girl had been seen. She looked terrified as her body was turned to leave the hero on the footpath offering her their hand. The class couldn't help but grow a bit angry at the very idea of someone hurting an innocent child.
"More of the case will be discussed at the meeting in two days, along with meeting the rest of the team. That's all for now."
*time skip*
"Can you believe it?! A mission on the first day!"
"It's crazy!" Mina and Denki were animatedly talking about a mission the class had just been given. While the rest of the baku squad was more or less just listening and enjoying their lunch.
However, a certain blonde was lost in thought memories and words replaying in his mind as he mindlessly poked at his food.
She sat to the edge on her bed, legs hanging off swinging slightly. They had just finished patrolling with Best Jeanist and were relaxing in her temporary room within walking distance from the agency.
Bakugou threw himself down next to her, placing his head on her lap as she started to gently run her fingers through his hair. She had a glow to her usually monotone expression, unnoticeable to most but not to bakugou.
"What's got you in a good mood?" He asked as he twisted his body to look up to her. She was staring at the roof now, looking to be pondering her next words. She continued to run her fingers through his hair.
"I can't wait to go on a real mission." She looked down at him, and he could see the determination and passion in her eyes. "I reckon we'd make a killer team boom boom boy." She gifted him with the rare sight of her smile, not just a small one but one where he could faintly see the dimples of her cheeks. He engraved the sight into his memory, never wanting to forget what a blessed sight it truly was.
"Yeah me too."
"BAKUGOU!" The boy in name snapped his head up at the loud scream. His angry expression returned as he was ripped away from being in his head.
"What?!" he was clearly annoyed and Denki shivered as he felt most of that annoyance directed at him, him being the one who screamed his name.
"Ahahaaa- nothing sorry, you just looked out of it." The pikachu boy rubbed the back of his neck expecting and waiting to be hit or yelled at, though Bakugou just scoffed and rolled his eyes.
The group was surprised and concerned at his minimum reaction, as he just returned to eating now just seemingly irritated.
And for a split second a flash of violet orbs invaded his vision and he froze. They looked so similar but they weren't hers, it was the girl he had seen when they had run into Hawks during their work study. The familiarity drew him towards her and he wanted answers. Familiar but different. The more he thought about it the more confused he became.
He abruptly got up and threw his lunch tray away, ignoring the calls from his friends as he walked away from them. Walking up to Deku's table catching the attention of those surrounding, the conversation at the table had stopped as Bakugou stood there looking down.
Izuku furrowed his brows as he looked at his clearly distressed childhood friend. "Kach-"
"Deku, Icy-hot let's go." This only confused them more, but Deku nonetheless stood up nudging Todoroki's shoulder to follow. He understood that Bakugou wouldn't call them for no reason, so the 3 walked out of the cafeteria and towards their classroom, which was not empty like they had expected.
